Collingwood played on a Friday night in Sydney then a Thursday night in Perth with the 14 day quarantine.
But they didn't play a team who was doing an at home quarantine until after the 14 days were up.

Collingwood played on a Friday night in Sydney then a Thursday night in Perth with the 14 day quarantine.
The first game is on Thursday night, its already in the Channel Seven scheduleFriday night: AO: Port Adelaide v Geelong
Saturday afternoon: Gabba: Brisbane v Richmond
Saturday night: Optus: West Coast v Collingwood
Sunday afternoon: Gabba: St Kilda v Bulldogs
Because we earned one and it's able to be played there.Considering how many home games WCE had to only make 5th, why a home final too?
While WCE ‘quarantine’ at home with family.I don't think this will happen when the Pies have to quarantine in a hotel room for 7 days
Sunday final went a few years ago. Thursday night will be the first final.Friday night: AO: Port Adelaide v Geelong
Saturday afternoon: Gabba: Brisbane v Richmond
Saturday night: Optus: West Coast v Collingwood
Sunday afternoon: Gabba: St Kilda v Bulldogs
Richmond will have no trouble accounting for Brisbane.Eagles will win convincingly, the other 3 games are cracking match ups that should produce great contests and hard to tip.
7 games at OPTUS & you ‘earned’ it?Because we earned one and it's able to be played there.
Why don't Port and Brisbane play away then as well? Yes that would be most fair but afl wants Brisbane to win....Considering how many home games WCE had to only make 5th, why a home final too?
Yeah, if you finish 5th, you play the team who is 8th, and you earn a home final. Is this news to you? It's been the rule for many years. Have you just started following football?7 games at OPTUS & you ‘earned’ it?
Tigers comfortably.Eagles will win convincingly, the other 3 games are cracking match ups that should produce great contests and hard to tip.
WC Pies on Saturday day/night, 35000 allowed in, won't have it on a weekday/nightCollingwood played on a Friday night in Sydney then a Thursday night in Perth with the 14 day quarantine.

Saturday afternoon
West coast v Collingwood- Optus
Saturday night
Port v cats - Adelaide oval
It will be Thursday/Friday night with Port v Cats on the other.WC Pies on Saturday day/night, 35000 allowed in, won't have it on a weekday/night
With Port and Brisbane winning this weekend, the top two is now settled and we know they’ll both host finals along with West Coast most likely too. There will be a Wednesday night wk 1 final this year as well so the finals are starting to take shape. If all the favourites win in Rd 18 this is probably how it’d be scheduled:
Wednesday 30th September:
Port Adelaide vs Geelong Cats, Adelaide Oval, 7:50pm AEST
Thursday 1st October:
Brisbane Lions vs Richmond Tigers, GABBA, 7:20pm AEST
Friday 2nd October:
West Coast v Collingwood, Optus Stadium, 8:10pm AEST
Saturday 3rd October:
St Kilda v Western Bulldogs, Metricon Stadium, 7:40pm AEST
It makes the most sense, but I suspect the AFL wants the winner of the WA EF back to QLD asap, and want to keep the breaks between games as equal as possible (1st plays Friday night, therefore 5v8 plays Thursday Night)So why couldn’t they do the following to have saints stay in Brisbane?
Why is everyone so confident WC will destroy Pies? WC is missing a fair few players...
Saints finished 7th & wanted to play at the Gabba & aren’t given the option. Why do WCE get a choice.Yeah, if you finish 5th, you play the team who is 8th, and you earn a home final. Is this news to you? It's been the rule for many years. Have you just started following football?
Pies will win by 20 goals +Tigers comfortably.
Port SHOULD win.
The only toss of the coin is Saints v Dogs, and will depend a lot on Naughton and Wallis.
For the other game, our record 100 point loss to the Eagles in an EF at Perth might be surpassed.
