Collingwood played on a Friday night in Sydney then a Thursday night in Perth with the 14 day quarantine.

But they didn't play a team who was doing an at home quarantine until after the 14 days were up.

I'm gonna call bullshit on that becuase Saints are being denied a Gabba final on the assumption that Lions v Tigers is played on the same day (Saturday). If that wasn't the case, then the fixture would already be out

It will be Thursday/Friday night with Port v Cats on the other.

Saints v Dogs and Lions v Tigers are confirmed for Saturday, hence why the Saints are confirmed as being shafted to Adelaide Oval (what's been reported so far)

With Port and Brisbane winning this weekend, the top two is now settled and we know they’ll both host finals along with West Coast most likely too. There will be a Wednesday night wk 1 final this year as well so the finals are starting to take shape. If all the favourites win in Rd 18 this is probably how it’d be scheduled:

Wednesday 30th September:
Port Adelaide vs Geelong Cats, Adelaide Oval, 7:50pm AEST

Thursday 1st October:
Brisbane Lions vs Richmond Tigers, GABBA, 7:20pm AEST

Friday 2nd October:
West Coast v Collingwood, Optus Stadium, 8:10pm AEST

Saturday 3rd October:
St Kilda v Western Bulldogs, Metricon Stadium, 7:40pm AEST

It makes the most sense, but I suspect the AFL wants the winner of the WA EF back to QLD asap, and want to keep the breaks between games as equal as possible (1st plays Friday night, therefore 5v8 plays Thursday Night)
