Cant see many seats left, surely will be our highest ever home crowd
A chunk of about a hundred just got released behind the goals....I'm pretty sure that's where their cheer squad will be. So they must have been the away team allocation that has been returned.

Tucker's expense - not withstanding that Tucker had a good game particularly from a kicking perspective, the additional pace of Switowski will be more welcome.

On the flipside we lose size. We finally played with a correct balance of short people. The player to miss out should be Schultz or Walters. They are not quicker than Tucker, so the addition of pace remains. While retaining a better team balance for size.

However I don't believe it will happen and Tucker will indeed go, as the coaches have persisted with the midget set up and all of Walters, Schultz, Switta seem like they are considered locks. But I think we should only play two of them.

Sounds like the air has come out of the WCE balloon for the season.

They'll come out playing the footy equivalent of 5-4-1 and try and stifle our run. Try and limit the damage and keep it to a 80 points to 50 loss*. Maybe even steal it if we are inaccurate enough.

They'll probably also have half an eye on the next week. It has coach killing 130 point loss written all over it and the staff will be keen to avoid it (the players won't GAF. Well except those with no contract for next year I suppose.)

Height is only one consideration though, and it will depend a little on what they do with the Tabs role.
Dropping Schultz or Walters in preference to Tucker wouldn't make a lot of immediate sense to me, aerially both of those are probably no worse than Tucker even with the height difference.

Note: There is a good chance they implode against us anyway and get flogged.
West Coast haven't been nearly as bad in the second half of the year as they were earlier in the year, I'm surprised they haven't posted another win to be honest.
With the slippery and potentially wet conditions I wouldn't expect this to be a walk in the park, I still expect to win pretty comfortably but we'll have to turn up.

I agree they were a better side once they got a few players back from injury and got back a semblance of organisation, but there's a wheels-coming-off vibe about this week again for mine. Plus coughing up 16 goals to Adelaide at home (in JK's farewell game no less) would have to have a few klaxons going off.

Those boys are at Willie Rioli's dad's funeral in Darwin RIP Snr Rioli

Liam Ryan, SPS and Willie are in Darwin. RIP. Presumably Ryan and SPS fly back prior to the game. I’ll be pissed if they give us COVID. Flights with the general population is the most likely place to get COVID currently.
Says who? You still need to wear a mask compared to going to a nightclub etc.

Could be closer than expected. This is the game to give their supporters something to crow about over the off season and ease some pressure off their executive staff and football department. Am expecting a bunch of players playing for their footballing lives.

Having said that, we get out early and don't let up in the second or run down their early lead and start building our own with 50,000 of our own fans knowing we're playing our first final in 7 years: It could be a real chance to build some heavy momentum at the right time. Especially if Friday night and the other Saturday night result's go our way....

On a personal note: Very excited to finally be going to my first derby. Seats on the wing on the first level :thumbsu:

For the boys who have already had it this year it shouldn't be a issue. Young healthy and highly active immune systems: symptomatic reinfection inside 6 months chance would be close to 0.

If they haven't had it then for the sake of a potential first flag they need to get their 4th shot.

What's with the scuttlebutt about Willie playing somewhere else next year and they may have seen him in eagles colours for the last time?
Is he leaving the rigors of the AFL completely or genuinely being shipped out? Maybe for the Richmond Rioli family? He'd be brilliant for us in a player sense but wouldn't survive five minutes under the heavy scrutiny of the West if he turncoated his way to Fremantle
