Couldn't help but laugh at Wines coming out saying he didn't like Adelaide's DNA, what we're about as a club and our "sense of entitlement" šŸ˜‚ The whole prison bars, one million SANFL premierships/Est 1870 debate REEKS of entitlement
Sounds like an attempt to sell more tickets actually.

Seems like the players have a script to run since Jonas said the same stuff. WWE theatrics on display.

This is exactly like Kochie coming out after the loss against Collingwood and talking about the bars, and like when he was on radio threatening Hinkley's job after the Richmond game, and then, when he had to backtrack, going onto his network to say it instead of a club statement.

It's a dead rubber, but instead of trying to hype up the game as a goodbye to one of their best ever, it's the players coming out in a coordinated effort to slander the oppo, in a bid to sell tickets, because half the supporter group want to boycott the coach.

That club are masters of deflection.

I think they will pump us for this reason. Port Boys will be up and about after flat tracking again. And let's be honest we are a flat track, especially late in the season with a young team.

Yeah we beat Carlton, a great effort. But the games after that we beat two bad teams. Good to win those games as it shows we are better than the two worst teams in the comp.

Port will win, because flat tracking is "Port Adelaide Football" it is their brand. Has been since 2013. Beating up on us further emphasises that.

But we win, overcome an up and about Port after the players stood by their coach last week and played their brand, we have a big tick in our rebuild journey.

I disagree. Showdowns are rarely ever flat tracks, and Wines coming up with his hate everything Adelaide stands for is almost guaranteeing this is going to be a spiteful, brutal game if we've got any backbone.

They're good at beating poor teams, but they'll at least earn a win this week if they do.

Any chance of winning this?
There's no more lethal opponent than a Port team with nothing to play for
This is 100% our problem this week.

Port will absolutely be fired up.
If the Crows come out half-asleep as they did with Sydney, they'll get annihilated.

Port will come out breathing fire'n'smoke like NM in the 98 GF. CRAZY-keen.

If we stay with them, say, within 3 goals at half-time and absorb their prison-bars-jilted fanaticism with unrelenting blow-for-blow pressure, their adrenalin should wear off during the half-time break. That'll slow them down, tire them out and we can do another Dawson on'em in the last or, even better, run away with it when they start to smell 2022 utterly-wasted-season mothballs. From a PF to tenth or thereabouts, would be delicious.

Beating PA this week has become vital to the rebuild as a sure sign of Crows' improvement.

Jonas, DBJ, Wines might be the ones with their lips moving but it's abundantly clear this is old mate Davies talking. Wheel out the anti-Crows rhetoric to deflect from their dud season, led by a dud coach and a dud footy boss. Distract the masses, straight out of the playbook.

Lol
Trying to unify their fans against Adelaide rather than sit by and let them tear themselves apart.

All this talk is just that, talk, to deflect from the problems internally within their own club.

Mr Davies - the script writer - needs to be more careful with his descriptors. Port Adelaide are the perfect example of "entitlement" as a notion of having the natural or historical right to something. Their made up history, their continued references to the past through this discussion about the old SANFL jumper, the 1870 on their backs, etc etc. all are clear indicators of a sense of entitlement and far more obvious than anything that can be levelled at the Crows.

I think they should wear the prison bars anyway.

Have their premiership points stripped, steal pick 1 from North.

Actually, we should wear the prison bars. That would stick it up them.
Iā€™ve always maintained that for Heritage Round the Crows, as an amalgam of all ten traditional SANFL clubs, should honour that heritage and wear each SANFL guernsey on a rotating basisā€¦ the year we play Port in Heritage round we should recognise that during our formative years we were, in no small measure, representing even them on the National Stage and in their honour wear the black and white prison bars. I think their club and fans would really appreciate the gesture.

Haha got to laugh at all this trash talk from the Port Players, they have 1 big win against a Bombers side who had basically checked out, and now they are carrying on like they are top of the ladder.

You can bet that if they win this they will carry on like they have won the premiership at the end of the game, and then they will go into the off season thinking that their season was successful because they beat us in a dead rubber.

Imagine if Collingwood allowed the Crows to wear the Prison jumper just for the lols.

Personally I think all the chest beating will fire our group up even more, if nothing else they like a scrap.

I don't think the Port group do, do you think Fogarty is going to take a backward step?
