I can't say I hate any side. The supporters are a different story. I'm a lover of football and especially talented footballers. I just don't think it's healthy to be carrying a hatred for a particular incident that happened decades ago. I played VFA 40 years ago and I can barely remember being out on the field. I got hit in the head almost weekly and I certainly don't remember them unless I watch old YouTube videos. Over thinking the past is depression, over thinking the future will give you anxietySo any collingwood supporters on here love Carlton ?
I’ve been very open about my belief that Carlton are a genuine bonafide premiership threat and I said what I said and I’m very comfortable with my statementsI falsely accused you of using ventriloquism to make outrageous claims about Carlton winning the flag this year, falsely backed it up by saying another poster is actually you, and now I'm failing to defend that position.
Just trying to lighten the tone a bit.

Norm smith, premiership winning ‘dirty little campaigner’What point?
Wha? Who?
Diesel Williams was a dirty little campaigner. One of the worst of all time.

I like your optimism but I can't even see you beating Geelong, but that's just meI’ve been very open about my belief that Carlton are a genuine bonafide premiership threat and I said what I said and I’m very comfortable with my statements
I have Sydney favourites, us second and daylight for third. But that’s me![]()
Agree that Carlton are a genuine contender and rightfully second favourites at this point in time.I’ve been very open about my belief that Carlton are a genuine bonafide premiership threat and I said what I said and I’m very comfortable with my statements

I wouldn’t mind taking on those Swannies in a big final at the G thoughAgree that Carlton are a genuine contender and rightfully second favourites at this point in time.
But there's not much daylight there.

Yes the Swans have the worst GF record, and a lot of it is recent, they simply cannot be trusted on the big dayI wouldn’t mind taking on those Swannies in a big final at the G though [emoji41]
I could see us doing a hawks 2008
Brisbane don't have enough injuries to destroy them. They have a much healthier list than most clubsMy order in 2024

Good to see you're finally learning...There's only one person around here who decides whether a team is a premiership threat, or in contention.
You'll have to run it through the Fadginator and see what it spits out...

Yes, I'm sure you've loved watching Collingwood win more than 60% of games they've played in your lifetime, play in nearly a third of all Grand Finals contested in your lifetime, and win a few flags along the way.In my lifetime, same, as with the Pies too

Ashcroft isn't anywhere near Nick. Not sure where you get that from. One or two injuries shouldn't derail a sides fortunes. Try 15 players injured, that has much more potential to derail a season. I doubt you're even a Collingwood supporter, new account and you start putting Brisbane on a pedestal. Brisbane are a soulless club and that's about itNot true, Ashcroft out is huge imagine us without Nick Daicos for the seaon.
I seriously doubt that there's anything untoward. Having a host of high draft picks due to their mediocrity would have more to do with itI’m interested / have a theory in the turnaround at Carlton since they got Cook!
They were a Basket case of late trying to work out how to win without salary cap cheating as they did until caught in 2002.
Cookie comes in and all the high profile players are signed up on longterm large $ contracts.
Very similar to the Geelong model but we all knew how good he was at property speculation back then.
There are some very powerful businesses associated with Carlton- will come to light eventually.
Generated a culture at all the clubs he's been where players take less then market value to keep the team together. Weitering spoke about this in a recent interview.I’m interested / have a theory in the turnaround at Carlton since they got Cook!

Doedee is a very underrated player - one of the best intercepting defenders and leaders in the comp. Going to be a massive inclusion for themAshcroft is an outstanding mid also Kiddy Coleman very crucial. Had extended injuries to Bailey and Stacevich, Also Gardiner Dodee and Mccarthy. Lets not pretend they arent hit hard.
Landing Brian Cook was one of Carlton's best recruitment moves of the past 30 years.Generated a culture at all the clubs he's been where players take less then market value to keep the team together. Weitering spoke about this in a recent interview.
So far we haven't lost anyone to another club we've really wanted to keep and aren't paying any players to play for other clubs. Hopefully it continues.
