Brought good effort against a classy opponent. It hurts but we are not quite at the level yet. We were out on our feet in the last quarter, don’t think we win even if Mass kicked it (but he absolutely should have..), overall felt 14 points was a fair margin. In the end the class of Rankine, Dawson, Thilthorpe and conversion of Walker was the difference.

Meek needs a break, wonder if Reeves gives him a spell at some point, he keeps looking for body contact rather than strongly contesting the ball.

These finals like games put the blowtorch on decision making and felt Worpel, Nash, Ward weren’t as clean as we needed. Even Amon got caught on his wrong side a couple of times.

Impey, Battle, Ginni were great.

Suspect we won’t see 4 talls picked together again (but unclear if we ever had them all on field together - in which case why select 4 vs another runner and more TOG for each tall?)

Few blokes are on thin ice absolutely, where was Moore tonight btw? At least Sicily and Day tried to wrest the momentum back our way but he was nowhere and It's happened in every big game this year IMO, he either needs to take stock at what isn't working and try and rectify it or naybe just maybe he had a year out of the box last year which was his ceiling and what we are getting now is basically the level.

He's making an unfortunate habit of going missing in the big games.

Happened in the finals last year as well.

Sic on the other hand seems to rise to the occasion.

I just dont like it. The guy said something years ago and put his hand up for it. Its unbecoming to wield it around like a weapon to character assassinate him forever more. 2nd qtr was embarrassing and cost us the game. That was one hell of a mess. Nobody stood up in that qtr with any leadership or composure. That should be the qtr that is reviewed.

That was Worps last game. He either was smoking something at half time or had the sooks up. Did he have footy boots on or a pair of slippers?

The Lewis Dear Chol Gunston experiment is over. Crows walked it out far too easily which was always going to be the case and Pies will do the same at the MCG.

Chol and Dear had real stinkers. Lewis not much better.

We outscored them in the second half, even though we shot ourselves in the foot three times in the last.

That second quarter was a complete collapse. The rest of the game we had them covered. Everything else is just minor details.

Pretty hard when we have no one who can hit them up on a lead. We may as well get Tom Mitchell back in with the way we just bomb it high into the forward line most of the time.

100%. We stuff around with handball, and then if we don’t screw that up, we just bang it in high, and by then our forwards are all outnumbered.

It was warps, when we killed bulldogs we had butler, Sheamus Mitchell and Ramsden all young go hards that gave there absolute all, now where back to the same old shit, go figure. Again worpel never play again.
