Cunningham for Roberts for me, Llyod is also in there (Maybe for Sheldrick but not sure).

Then the team looks really good, Bice, Adams, McLean, Clearly, Corey Warner, Hanily and such is great depth we have created this year.
Cunningham I forgot for sure. I'd also like Mills more midfield but dropping Rowbottom or Sheldrick feels wrong

B: Wicks - Melican - Rampe
HB: Mills - McCartin - McInerney
C: Gulden - Jordon - Blakey
HF: Campbell - McDonald - Papley
F: Amartey - Curnow - Rosas
Foll: Grundy - Heeney - Warner
INT: Ladhams - Hayward - Rowbottom - Roberts - Sheldrick

I'm sure I am missing someone as well

Just the best small defender in the league.

Plan this year was Mills in the midfield before his injury this pre-season.

Wouldn't surprise me if maybe that the reason Rowbottom may be looking around.

I'm just being accurate to the guys who give out Brownlow votes, alright? ;)

Na not for Sheldrick and if Lloyd plays cannot not be near a wing please. For all his good things the bloke takes two hours to kick the thing. Cleary should be in the side.

Yep if he wants it let him take it off Harry. Still have faith in Harry for at least another solid year. His ability to be able to play at a consistent level, carrying out his role quelling the most dangerous small forwards in the game has been really solid. Cunningham has always been in whipping boy category for me until I realized for effort he is an A+ player. Rarely lets you down.

Given our recent drafting - 2x 1st rd busts and florent for curnow would be a steal for us

Sounds big but we dont get it right much at all

Its like trading 2 of Sheldrick Stephens Dattoli + Florent for Curnow

Make out like bandits type of trade if you look at that way

We all said 2024 onwards we win one

Its now or never tbh

Oh and use that florent money on Oliver if demons are srsly paying half
How the hell are you writing off Dattoli already?

I didn't want to draft a small forward first up last year, but he looks like he'll be a good pickup.

Hayward open to Carlton trade
Can this Finbar get his own thread !
NO, FINNBAR WILL BE OUR DADS SOON, SO WE MAY AS WELL ACCEPT IT

Papley gave it away when asked about he himself being in a trade. When asked about Curnow coming in he said to get a player like him to the club sometimes you lose a mate along the way. Hayward and Papley are pretty thick I believe so Snappy Tom may have been aware of this early days.

We will cop Brisbane, GC and GWS as out double up fixtures next year too, you just watch
No chance of brissy i reckon. We didn't even make the 8. Double ups against 3 top 8 teams including the premiers is a bit harsh i reckon

Ha ha ! And you reckon a 2 year trade ban wasn't ! They have flogged us to death and will continue to at any opportunity. They may have treated us with kid gloves even mollycoddled us early days in the Harbor City but once they realized they created a monster they have done their best to chop it down. We won't get any favours from them have no fear about that.

Our H&A games with Brisbane have been close recently (2, 4, 2) so a fair chance. GWS will be in our middle bracket of 6, so we'll probably get another top 6 double up.

The AFL uses a 'weighted rule', where the 18 clubs are split into three groups of six based on their ladder position the previous year – first to sixth, seventh to 12th and 13th to 18th.

Each club is then allocated their double-up games based on these groups. The goal is for each club to play twice against 2-3 teams in the same group and twice against 1-2 teams in the other groups.

Basically our double up groups "should" come from

1 team of Adelaide, Geelong, Brisbane, Collingwood, Hawthorn and GC
2-3 teams of GWS, Freo, WB, Carlton, St Kilda
1-2 teams of Port, Melbourne, Essendon, North, Richmond, WCE

Now our double ups this year were Brisbane, GWS, Hawthorn, Freo, North, Port and Essendon

Traditionally unless a rivalry the AFL tries to avoid double ups against same teams.

So a hypothetical fixture could be

1-6 - Double Up one of Collingwood, Geelong or Adelaide
7-12 - Double ups GWS and two of WB, Carlton and St Kilda (This is likely due to Rivalry pulling out here so should get this)
13-18 - Two of Melbourne, Richmond, WCE (I would nearly lock in Melbourne on a double up as they wouldn't give us both Richmond and WCE)

We "should" be weighted to two double ups of 13-18 rather than 1-6 due to ladder finish.
