Yeah, Gary Ablett snr was SO overrated that he kicked 8, 10, 12 and 14 against your team.

How bad does it make Richmond if you think a guy who destroyed you throughout the 80's is overrated?
Gary Ablett Senior kicked 118 goals against Richmond. Jason Dunstall kicked 111 goals against Richmond

Current = Rance.
Retired = Michael Long. *ducks for cover*
I'm with you on long to a degree.
First 102 games before doing his knee was unbelievable.
After that lost his pace, his last 88 games nowhere near as good and missed lots of footy.

Lenny Hayes and everyone who's played for that mob. Underserving norm smith, crap kick, choked in the games that matters. Totally overrated. They're such a success starved club that they celebrate plodders as champions. Nathan Burke, Stewart Loewe, Spud are other prime examples.
Possibly the worst post in bigfooty history

Gee, it's easy to trigger you Richmond fans.

One premiership and you act like your sh*t doesn't stink.

Can't wait until Richmond gets found out, and their bubble bursts, and their fluking of a flag is exposed as just that, and they sink back to the bottom.

Win two more flags in the next few years, then you can hang with us in the modern era.
Stumbled on this thread and found this post.
So, two more flags, last one at the expense of your mob, does that let us join your big boys club 😁
To get on topic, I would throw Dangerfields name in as over hyped.
Plays a lot of good games, gets his Brownlow votes, but hasn’t really stood up when he has needed too.
Media falls over themselves every time he opens his mouth. Seems to think his opinion is the only one that counts, Danger that is not the media.

Kicked bags against a bottom 4 side, anyone could have kicked a bag against the Richmond sides of that era, he would struggle to get a kick against the great Richmond sides of the 60s, 70s and early 80s

I don't think so.
He was too dynamic.
It is why he is 1 of 5 to have kicked 1000 goals.

Imagine if he was allowed to drop the ball as soon as he was tackled and scoop it up again.
Probably would have added at least 100-150 goals from that particular skill alone.

Would poo his pants playing on someone like Francis Bourke or Robbie McGhie

The guy kicked 9 against the greatest side that Hawthorn has ever assembled, and 14.7 against Essendon in their premiership year. In that same year, he also kicked ten against other finalists Adelaide in Adelaide, and North Melbourne.

His best ever game was probably the day he had 36 and kicked five from the wing against the Eagles, at Subiaco, in 1992.

Not a downhill skier. The main problem in his career is that Geelong only started playing consistently well after his 29th birthday.

I'm tired of being told to believe Tom Barrass is - or ever has been - an elite key defender. He has never been the best defender at West Coast, that honour has always gone to McGovern. He is far from a great on-field leader and is not giving West Coast what they gave him a 5 year deal for. 2022 is the only season in his career he has flirted with being one of the best, a season where McGovern played only 10 games. A lot of hype has come from out west for a glorified David Astbury.

In 1993 he kicked 57 goals in 8 games against the finalists.

66 in 15 matches against finalists in 1994.

57 and 10 against finalists in 1995. It was 57 and 9 against finalists in 1995 before his shocker in the grand final. Yeah. Sounds like he really filled his boots against the poor sides 😂
