Walsh just signed up for 8 more years. LOL!
How much did they throw at him? He’d be not be in Sydney’s midfield.
Surely the Essendon one will go down in history as the worst 'mega-salary' signing of them all but Harry's just overrated and always has been.
can’t hide behind Charlie now.

I really thought this was going to be a false hope year for Carlton. You knoe the script, show signs then fold like crepe paper at an origami contest. You know, one of their better years in the past 25.
It might still be, getting whallopped by a Sydney side much fitter than last year will happen to a few food teams. But right now its looking to just be a bad year rather than a false hope one.

If the Swans turn out to be a powerhouse against this season it will be sad for the AFL. The lazy outdated mentality of throwing bags of cash at a big forward shouldn't be rewarded.

This isn't even bias, I want to see teams rewarded for good holistic team building. Not this ugly New York Yankees/Real Madrid mentality

Your club chose to trade him.

Come on, It’s maybe a little bit of salty bias.

Lose Curnow, Silvagni and TDK, replace them with Florent and Hewitt, win a couple of praccy's and think your team is better than last year.
Cant wait for all those Carlton fans ringing up SEN tomorrow braggong about them being a surprise packet in 26 🙂

Sydney were one of the form teams of the comp late last year when they got some players back. They just had too many out for too long to make an impact on the season. Without any trades they were likely yo be a force this tear. Bringing in Curnow helpe, but isn't what turns them around.

edit: All that said, early rounds also can do weird things. Teams prepare differently and don't always hit their first game fully prepared, match fitness can take time. There might be a bit of that along with Sydney just being better.

Manage your SC and Carlton can do the same.
