one good year and he has a brownlow around hgis neck that'll do it for me....did u say inspire his team to victory....i was at the hawks vs kangaroos game and their wasnt much inspiration goin on it looked more like ur future captain and role model was beltin oposition players figure that one out.
and to reply to ur richmond comment we're doin wat use did for 6 years "rebuilding" is wat yas called it for so long?

Is the Kangaroos game your only example to highlight Hodge's shortcomings? As pointed out, he was injured from the week before.

Stop carrying on and come up with an argument instead of "I can't believe people are still picking hodge in front of GA and JB!" and "only uneducated footy viewers would pick hodge!"

Why do you think these things?

1. Chris Judd
2. Luke Hodge
3. Gary Ablett Jr.
4. Jimmy Bartel
5. Sam Mitchell
6. Nick Dal Santo
7. Dane Swan
8. Luke Ball
9. Campbell Brown
10. Brian Harris

Pretty much spot on.

Daniel Elstone is annoyed he doesn't get a gig though. :thumbsu:

Except most had him as A AA contender at about the half way mark in 2006. His 2005 was better too.
who is most?

Most of the Geelong population?

He is outstanding now, but prior to 2007 he wasn't anywhere near an elite midfielder, nor was he anywhere near AA.

He was a highly talented small forward, and he has now made an astounding transformation in 12 months, but hasn't done enough to overtake Luke Hodge (yet)

bartel was very good last year as well but didn't get any recognition..... and he played well in the 2nd half of the season the year before that.
I am not arguing he hasn't had good patches, but he's hardly done enough to cement his spot as the game's next elite midfielder. Yet the way some of the turkey's on the site carry on, you'd think he's the next Harvey, Bucks or Voss. His average stats working backwards are: 27, 23, 19, 21, 12, 12. Comparing to Judd, he's bettered him in one year and over the six year timeframe, Judd has had 24% more touches on average.
