so we got Hunter, Carter and McNamara.
didnt hear much about these guys in the lead up.
i thought we'd go hartigan, tighe, temel or panos with the pick we used for Carter.

oh well Hine knows what he's doing....i hope!

hartigan, tighe and temel not getting picked up at all are massive shocks

You can always come up with a few kids you'd like us to pick, but you should never be surprised when we don't pick them. I was hoping we'd take Donaldson but he got through to Carlton's last pick, after they took Dare earlier. Does Wayne Hughes base all his selections on BigFooty? I'm beginning to think he's TheGeneral or something.

Hine has gone very Anglo-Saxon in 2009 - just look at the traditional English/Scottish surnames........

Carter, Hunter, Ball, Jolly, Thomas, Buckley, Sinclair, Macnamara........

Irish names, so a bit ethnic.

It appears we drafted for need, Snag, which pleases me quite a bit. I do await a state screening 20m time for Jack Carter just to reassure me that we didn't pick up another Toby Thoolen-style iceberg, but otherwise I'm happy.

Considering how we have done thus far in trading/drafting, Hine could have picked my grandmother and he'd somehow make it work.

Collingwood looked at him closely, and obviously didn't rate him. Don't see the big issue here.

I have a good feeling about the young smalls Sinclair, J Thomas and Hunter, we really went for speed and contested ball winning ability, no big bottomed plodders.

2.87 over 20m is lightning fast. We seem to be picking up plenty of speedy types with later picks recently. Rounds, Francis, Sinclair, Thomas and now Hunter.

Tighe was the Jets B&F so he might of had a Shocker.

Pendles brother Ryan is up for next year and People say he would be the best of the Lot

beams was a queensland priority selection, so he was unavailable, if we wanted him we had to draft him in the national draft, we were never going to have the opportunity to rookie him
