Played for West Adelaide in Under 18s, kicked 7 goals in 13 matches and was named in best 4 times but thats all ive found

so we got Hunter, Carter and McNamara.
didnt hear much about these guys in the lead up.
i thought we'd go hartigan, tighe, temel or panos with the pick we used for Carter.

oh well Hine knows what he's doing....i hope!

hartigan, tighe and temel not getting picked up at all are massive shocks

As opposed to last year, when he drafted Sidebottom, Beams, Blight, Rounds, Brown, Francis, Blair and Reed, all of whom have diverse, ethnic-sounding names?

That's just how it is with a majority of the kids in football...

Brisbane got Claye Beams :(

Damn, I really wanted Collingwood to grab him and give him a chance, I can't see how Claye would've been any more of a gamble than Hunter or Carter, oh well, here's hoping that this isn't just Voss hoping to make a play for Dayne in a couple of years.

Clay Beams to Brisbane..

Serhat Temel is a huge shock not to be drafted..

Averaged 15 touches, 3 goals over 20 games.

Kicked 5 goals in the grand final win.

22 goals in 4 finals games.

Myles Sewell also..? ah well..
slow
rubbish on ground level
unfit

not a major surprise on temel

How many people annoyed we didn't get Beams have actually seen him play? If his name was John Smith would you care that we overlooked him?

Collingwood looked at him closely, and obviously didn't rate him. Don't see the big issue here.

Not Really Fussed at all - He probably had Potential but was too Raw

Definitely a trend here, where are all the ethnic kids?

Was taken as a priority selection, so Collingwood wouldn't have got a crack at him regardless.

As for Dayne... I dare say that Claye was drafted on his own merit. Stopped playing football for a year to have a crack at cricket, then stepped back in and hit the ground running. Excellent development prospect. I don't think he has been drafted as part of a nefarious plot to lure Dayne back home.

Considering Dayne turned down the chance to go even closer to home with GC17, I don't think you should be overly concerned. Seems committed to the Pies.
