I haven't seen much of poppy this year. He's probably too old to be worth a trade but I love the way he plays.

Naka cocktatoo seems like a good fit for our list. I suspect we will get linked to him... and he says at geelong.

This Nakia Cockatoo?

Big fan of Steven May. Would throw some serious coin at him. Just the gorillakiller full back we need. Scary mother*er too.

Barrett column aside, would we make a play for Steven May? Should we?

Is he a free agent? I'm a big fan, but I'd prefer to keep the high draft picks that we would need to get him in a trade. Gold Coast are shits to trade with.

I heard last year that we Steven May and a couple of weeks later it changed to Sam Mayes of Brisbane who was a North Adelaide junior from Port Pirie. Not sure if either was correct or not.

Last year I wanted a key position forward as first pick expecting the team to go midfield so was rapt. This year convinced we need a fast outside midfielder with kicking skills. We have good depth in key postions both forward and back. Ruck post Ryder is a worry. Hope Frampton or Ladhams can continue to improve

I think a cream on the cake half forward to play that roll Matt White used to for us would be a nice pickup over the off season.

Given how low Hawthorn are sitting on the Ladder I just wonder if they are getting tempted to let Luke Breust go and cash in the free agency compo. Not sure if we would have the cash? It would probably take $2.5m over 4 years maybe more with the new CBA.

Gary Rohan could be a cheaper option very much in the Matt White mould of taking a bloke with all the attributes and teaching him to football. Another free agent but as he has never really come on I would assume he'll be going cheaply.

And I quite like the Brandon Matera talk. Forwards who know how to kick goals will always have a place in the game. I'm sure he'd look at how Charlie Dixon has played this year and be very very tempted.

I think your mostly right there. OUtside of Ryder we have nothing in terms of ruck stocks. Sure we're hop full on Frampton, he gets alto of the ball for a ruck in the SANFL but doesn't to enough with hit outs and his actual ruck work.

A few pages back Brodie Grundy was mentioned - would be very nice to have Grundy in the post Ryder years… not sure how they'd go together though.

Id like us to get a genuine small (general) forward with Wingard in the middle that leaves R.Gray our only dangerous small forward who sadly is closer to the end of his career then we'd all like and we saw VS West Coast that we looked very poor in that department when Gray was having a very quite game even though we dominated the I50 Count...

So a super dangerous specialist 'small' forward would be nice…

Luke Breust was exactly the type of player i was referring to in my last post.

I've heard Steven May mentioned more than once over several years.

Hand him over for a third rounder and maybe we'll invite you back to Shanghai ;)

We don't have a first rounder to trade for Steve May, so I guess the Hammer to GC theory will be all the rage.
You wouldn't say no to him but he's not a massive need for us so I don't see it happening.

Gary Rohan as a free agent would go alright. Would actually be a similar pick-up to what Matt White was in 2014 before injuries got him.

Isn't he Kern's cousin or nephew or something?

A second tall forward is an absolute priority. Who do we have besides Dixon? A 199cm not-a-tall-forward, a raw stringbean who may not make it, a swingman who gives his all but isnt the long term answer, a mature age rookie and Doogs who may end up a backman. Someone mentioned Josh Bruce, would be a fantastic fit for us.
Also I cant remember the last time we had a real third tall type, that 189 - 192cm Darling/Stringer/McGovern type so if we could find one of those from somewhere, would be handy.
In terms of priorities, I'd say:
1. Tall forward
2. Classy outside wing/hff
3. KPD
4. Specialist small forward
