Just on Sam Fisher.
He was written up as a small forward but looks to have cracked some serious clearance numbers as the season wore on. More a midfielder now as we see him? Is his disposal worthy of a left footer A grade?

Does he only ever just kick really good goals though?
It's hard to collate NEAFL highlights of greater substance, but he's been regularly getting 25-35 possessions in the NEAFL this year along with his goals.

Probably plays a role similar to Dylan Shiel, but obviously not as quick. Conversely, not as slow as Nick Graham, and can obviously roost the ball. Would be good competition for Fisher, Fasolo and Garlett.

Take a look for yourself:

Too good to be sitting in the reserves another year, and it looks he's not in their first choice, or even their regular rotation.

Certainly has some tricks.

What's the knock on him?

Perfect age for us, could be an astute pick up.

Where does that leave goddard? Rookie draft?

It's also so difficult to get a guage of someones ability based on what they've done in the NEAFL as the standard is just so low. It's almost as if you need to half their stats as a rough estimate of what they'll do.

That said, kicking goals from beyond 50, or tight on the boundary, is skill based and the standard becomes less relevant.

Seen him in quite a lot of AFL games and didn't really impress in any of them.

At AFL level he looks out of his depth, a little indecisive and physically out-gunned.

If he had already shown the form to be a full time midfielder, he'd probably have been picked already. As a high half-forward, he's stuck behind a lot more attacking players at the Swans.

He's Nick Graham plus, but the pluses are speed and kicking distance.

has rose been flung by the swans? how are we proposing to get him?
2 year offer trumps 1 year offer, he'll ask to be cut or just enter the PSD.

Yeah his foot skills are excellent, it's his read that sees him stuck around half-forward when he could perhaps be a full time midfielder. Agresta would have a good idea of his abilities.

Yup, would agree, but he's only just turned 22 so there should be scope to improve his self-confidence and read of the game.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-10-19/surgery-to-limit-flag-stars-preseason

After failing to play senior football this season, out-of-contract midfielders Luke Partington and Malcolm Karpany's careers are in jeopardy. Partington managed six senior games last year as a small forward, but couldn't crack another appearance in 2018 after goalsneaks Willie Rioli and Liam Ryan's sensational debut seasons. A knee injury hampered speedster Karpany mid-year, and the 23-year-old didn't add to his seven appearances.

Yet-to-debut tall Matthew Allen, who shared East Perth's best and fairest with Partington and former Eagles midfielder Patrick McGinnity, is also uncontracted and his future is unclear.

Gregson had a bad run of injuries....

Sound familiar......?
Mmm. Id steer clear. 4th navicular bone surgery this year. It’s an awful injury and does prove to be unmanageable sometimes.

Edit: not fourth surgery this year. His fourth surgery on that particular bone occurred this year.
