With our "warchest" last year, you wonder how we couldn't land one of Smith, Saad or Stringer - especially the former 2 as Stringer has his issues. Smith especially would have been a fantastic get for us. It's a but frustrating to see them all performing so well for the Bombers.

Yeah, they are like we were under Lyon, consistently good but lack the killer punch. They play not to lose which isn't as easy in finals.

I am just wondering how the players have developed in 18 months for pies. Their young players are playing really good footy.
We really need help to develop our youngsters otherwise back to square one.

Just to be that guy, AFL rulings love the phrase "if in the umpires opinion.." which generally means if the umpire considers its not a throw, the rules actually back them up to state that their opinion is correct and the actual rule.
So it all leads back to the AFL in the end.
