Brisbane's 2018 % was in the high 90's. Nobody expected them to rise to the top 4 this year. A few good young blokes that would make a good fist of it and maybe make the 8.

Our % was 97 this year.

I'll take your point, Brisbane have some stars, but ask me that in 2018 and that list of stars would have been half the list I have now.

Jones is the only 21-25 yr old I saw as replaceable. That bloke isn't going to win you a flag.

The rest are locked in, with a few more on the way.

We lost 2 players this trade period. 1 for more opportunity because we didn't play him and the other was always going.

We got 1 player back

Daniher and Papley cancel each other out.

Don't see how that's more players wanting out. Don't be shocked if we get Daniher next year. Doesn't sound like we were the issue in getting him either.

If we have as much cash as we apparently do I'd have tried to find a way to do more than Taylor for Jones while keeping a disgruntled Papley on the list.

And this has been the problem for clubs like Fremantle, Carlton and Melbourne over the last 10 years.

They have traded for the sake of it to use their cash, even when it doesn’t make sense or overall add to their list.

You pick your specific targets and if that doesn’t come off you go to the draft until the right target comes along again.

What do you think losing papley would have done to the forward line? Kept us in contention, enabled two of the best forwards to make us better, or just.. Made us a write off?
