ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Broncos OLB Bradley Chubb (knee) tore his ACL and is out for the year.
Chubb actually returned to Sunday's game with said ACL tear and played until the final whistle. Now 0-4 and having lost their best young player for the season, it's not a stretch to say the Broncos have hit rock-bottom. Chubb notched 12 sacks in his breakout rookie campaign and was on pace for career-high marks in tackles and quarterback hits before this speed bump. UDFA Malik Reed, who has one sack on the year, is the next man up for Denver.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports the Jaguars turned down an offer of two first-round picks for Jalen Ramsey.
That would be a massive haul, even for a player of Ramsey's elite caliber, though apparently it still wasn't enough to move the needle for the Jags, who have so far been reluctant to trade their star corner. La Canfora notes the offer came from a contending team, meaning the picks would likely be late first-rounders. It's hard to imagine the Jaguars getting a better offer for Ramsey, who has stood firm in his desire to be traded. It doesn't look like the Ramsey saga in Jacksonville will be ending anytime soon.

You say that as if the coaching staff have a choice. i dont think they even wanted to draft the kid let alone play him yet.
They have Colt McCoy. Coaching staff have already said Haskins is not ready. They had three OL starters out injured, two of whom are Pro Bowlers, along with Reed and McLaurin. Putting him in that situation was nuts.

but he played really well despite that. he was very composed and all his passes were very accurate (bar one). he moved the offense well, had a redzone opportunity too. but agree, not against patriots do you start him.

JeffDunne was right. The NFL under Goodell is all WWE, with sideshow entertainment value to the core product, tiffs, drama, controversy.

Back in the 70s, 80s, 90s...they just played football.
I'm convinced that sports administrators like subjective rules for the simple reason it gives them plausible deniability in manipulating results.

Their salaries and bonuses are tied to certain outcomes, sorry KPI's. So it's only natural they are going to tip the scales to help orchestrate those outcomes.

All power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This has never been more true than it is in professional sport.

so true.
firstly, subjective rules...they needn't be this way, fouls should only be called if theyre egregious

the afc is interesting when the broncos are contenders :(

No itā€™s interesting when they play like their GM looks

Horses a$$ :)

Yeah that Rudolph the yellow and black nosed reindeer is quite the find.

Need to run wildcat to even move the ball.

If there is a god those sorry a$$ed fans will suffer 2 decades of shitty qbā€™s

:)

He's a runner in that situation. It looks brutal, but if a DB did that to a RB people would barely notice
As was the Colts guy (and I am not excusing the hit by Burfict), and he bounced straight up and said afterwards he didnt get rattled, that his helmet worked as intended. Allen however was knocked the * out and not even a helmet to helmet flag.
