It's funny you know but viable key forwards don't seem to be standing on every street corner you see.
For a team to find 1 viable key forward in 4 or 5 years of drafting is a good outcome.

That’s why I think we need to invest more.

We haven’t invested. Our three key forwards left on the list are a rookie that was originally a defender, a FS originally a defender, an American and an Irishman.

He just doesn't scream Key forward to me. He looks like he would be an outstanding ruckman but it will take him years to develop that chicken bone body, Callow for me, would come in next year and have an immediate impact

I wouldn't be so sure - he seems strong through the core, has good body control in the air and also looks like he has long arms.

A lot of key forwards are often very one-dimensional, but this kid looks like he has the full bag of tricks. I can see him being a nightmare of a match up for opposing defences and that kicking is just so sublime on both feet that he'd be dangerous in all sorts of ways.

Spoke to some of my Oakleigh mates today and they couldn’t be more complimentary about Daicos & Reef, Daicos still growing and a freak of a footy mind ( and very good looking as well ) also said an absolute freak ( first 20 meters very quick) and will be one of the best players seen for a long time. (Not my words) constantly Outplayed Anderson & Rowell at training, about Reef, a beast of a player and a better defender than mid, has a lot of tricks.

I like those highlights. I couldn't pick his preferred foot, literally took set shots left and right. He knew how to weight a pass too. Lofted, flat, angled and with depth off both sides. Really strong range of kicking. Also had pace and an intent to take the game on. A good intercept mark in defence. Seemed a good lead forward. So duel position. An absolute beanpole though, would need to fill out.

Yep, I said earlier in the thread he’s a genuine ambidextrous. I don’t even think he knows himself which foot he prefers.

Cox looks like a CHF to me, especially with that kicking inside 50, whereas I think Callow could play closer to goal.

After all these years is it too much to ask for us to take two key forwards in a draft?

I reckon it makes sense to target two key position players and spread our chances of having a hit. Especially when both Cox and Callow are dual position players. We could develop them either end.

Yeah I know. He looked better on his left to me. Seemed to favour right for set shots. Then used his left foot for a set shot from the left pocket, which made his angle worse. I loved the range of kicking he had, his decision making and execution. With his frame he's a long term prospect but I hope we have some long term vision here. He looks a ripping prospect.

Yep that's his knock he would take sometime developing but he looks the goods to me

Even short term you could see some of these kids impacting in 2021. Maybe not in a KP role but potentially as a 3rd tall.

He dominated a couple of TAC games playing wing last year. He could do that whilst he is filling out.

Looks like one of those kids who will always be skinny, has a very thin frame.
