I think they're taught all wrong - you see it in college footy when the gun receiver jumps up high for the catch and his opponent has his back to the play, lamely trying to tackle him around the midriff. The good DBs jump up with the receiver and swat the ball (or try to catch it)

Good games to watch/re-watch...

Falcons-Dolphins, Rams-Lions, Bengals-Ravens (despite the score was high skill game, lots of action O and D), Colts-49ers (thrills and spills due to weather), in a way Chiefs-Titans and Packers-Washington for various incidents, plays.
