the slate of primetime games is less than desirable.

Bears @ Tampa stands out to me. if the Bears could have a creative gameplay. the D can cause Tampa issues.

KC/Ten is also big, both teams with high hopes and season starting to slip away.

Bungles/Ravens with some extra spice after the Bungles LB called Lamar a RB who just happens to play QB. as if divisional games need extra motivation you just give them bulletin board stuff.

Pretty big step down from wk 6 slate but some significant games in the playoff picture in particular Broncos/Browns, Bengals/Ravens, KC/TEN, Philly/Vegas, Indi/SF. Loser goes home in many of those potentially, or at least makes life a lot harder to be where they want to be (eg. KC or Ravens #1 etc.).

He tried to walk back that comment on Twitter afterwards.

Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt that what he said on Twitter is what he meant, he has to know that the media loves to misconstrue things to build a narrative if they can and that he can't give half answers

its a "complement" like it was a complement when people pre draft said he should be a RB and play some WC snaps.
at best a backhanded complement.

its a bad trope against him now. and you need to be smart enough to not say stuff like that.

A week off for the Vikings before the bloodbath to follow: Dallas, @ Baltimore, @Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay

I doubt the Vikings will be favoured in any of those games. 3-3 may be the high point for the season....

So realistic. Re kon we'll win 3 or 4 of those 5. :openlock:

In three season Cousins has 4 wins against teams that have finished the season with a winning record, 2 of those were against Eagles teams that finished 9-7. My expectation for those 4 games is 1-3. That is unless Zimmer has a zen moment during the bye week and decides to be more aggressive with the offensive game plan going forward. So far Iโ€™ve seen nothing but the usual conservative game plan and therefore you canโ€™t expect anything different.
