Ally continues to impress

They’ve got a player in Ally Morphett… well, what can I say about her that hasn’t been said elsewhere? She’s undeniably the early favourite to be the All-Australian ruck,

Our AFLW side will be in action this Wednesday for open training

Open Training
Wednesday, September 27
Lakeside Oval
9:30am - 11:00am

We are allowed to wear our Pride jumper for any game.
But AFL will not allow Swans to have 50m arcs marked in Pride colours, for our home game.
Our actual pride game is an away game in Perth.

It's a pretty dumb oversight not to give a home game for pride to one of the league's most popular clubs (we're third for crowd size this year and had the most members last year), at Henson Park in one of the most queer-friendly places in the country. It's the sort of thing you'd ideally start designing the pride fixture around.

Having messed that up, the least they can do is allow Sydney to fully mark the occasion themselves, especially with the Reclink Community Cup also happening that day. Should be a marquee occasion fully supported and trumpeted by the league.

Its honestly the weirdest decision from the AFL. I can't understand it given we already have a Pride game for our mens team.

Team of week - round 5

Breakout Swan Ally Morphett holds down the ruck role for a successive week, ...

MIDFIELDERS

Ally Morphett (ruck, Sydney), ... Yet another team of the week nomination for Morphett, with 27 hitouts, 25 disposals and six clearances.

FORWARDS

Without Privitelli (four of Sydney's six goals), the Swans wouldn't have come close to Carlton,

You make the assumption here though, that the AFL would actually give two shits about the swans building some form of match theme tradition. They are the ones that saw the success of the swans Marn Grook game and immediately worked with Sheedy to create Dreamtime at the G rather than build Marn Grook as the focus of the weekend.

07OCT23: Port vs Swans Match Reports
A great win by the Swans on the road against Port
