400 is becoming more and more a 'norm' in ODI cricket now. Back in the 90s , 240 on most grounds was considered OK. Then in the Gilchrist dominated era 2000's, it got pushed to 300.

In the 2010's it got pushed to 350

Now in the 2020 decade, 400 is more and more a norm.

Its just a matter of time before we start asking 'can a team make 500?'

Feels that way but getting to 400 requires at least one player to go big as you won't get 3 centuries too often. Not many 400 scores will be chased down even this century.

Remarkable from South Africa, does anyone know what the dimensions of this ground are? Pretty sure Indian grounds are a lot smaller than over here

By the way 4 hours 15 mins to bowl 50 overs is pathetic

Straight boundaries are around 68 metres, square boundaries are around 65 metres.
