1. Tom Mitchell -nothing more to say

2. Our game plan is very adaptable and can kick winning scores even with the lack of a marking target

3. Although our form was crap a couple of weeks ago...... No side will be volunteering to play us anytime soon

1. We play smart wet weather footy these days.

2. Goodes must play forever.

3. Tom Mitchell is the classy in and under midfielder we really aren't lacking but can certainly use.

1. Nick Smith is next in line to be a Bloods Captain.
2. Tom Mitchell is a natural in & allows our other midfielders to be freed up by opposition taggers.
3. Everitt & Rampe are proof that if given successive games without fear of being dropped, then confidence can bring consistent performances in doing their roles. Mattner, Shaw & LRT now need to come back via the reserves. This puts preessure on senior spots which is directly linked to p'ships.

http://1. Andrejs Everitt deserves a lot of credit for how he has aimed up as a defender. Many of us probably would have thought he was done at he club at the end of the year given how he struggled win consistent games (a la TDL and many before him) but he is steadily proving himself very worthy of consistent seniors football and if he beats out Mattner for a spot when Marty is fit, that would be an enormous show of faith by the coaches (ditto for Rampe)

2. Heath Grundy is one of the better defenders in the league right now when it comes to purely defending. His spoils, guarding of space and body work are just so consistently good atm (ditto for Nick Smith).

3. Mumford's not shot just yet. Best game of the year (ditto for Craig Bird).

Why was Macca rated so high when he had more clangers than anyone else in 5. This is not an oldtime Bedford knock. Does he actually have a left foot, if he gets caught on it, he tends to banana it and then you look at Goodes who twice run around and kicked goals on his left.
The Filth and these cheats 2 weeks in a row with the sooks to come, what a hat trick that would be leading into the break

1. Everitt is a better player this year. And even in his dark days he's been capable of extraordinary goals. His goal off one step last night was great.
2. Tommy Walsh did precisely what was asked of him. Provided a contest. Brought the ball to ground. Real shame for the Irishman.
3. Jobe Watson can be nullified. Hats off to ROK.

LRT never comes back in the 2's

I hate to say it but Jude is struggling, the new sliding rule and his pace is now a worry, maybe he needs a couple of weeks off and comes back fresh, bring Lamb in this week for him.
Morton is another one who might have to go 1 goal in 2 weeks is not enough.
The past 3 weeks same thought has crossed my mind

1. Entertaining games make sitting in the rain worth it
2. Ponchos are excellent for picking your nose without people next to you seeing
3. Ryan needs to bring back the long hair and headband so we can tell the difference between him and Mitchell.

1. Everitt actually looks like he's found a position, was originally playing 3rd tall back when first arrived but struggled. Doubted whether he would be on the list next year, but looks like he would be worth persisting with down there especially with a few defenders getting on. ATM would have him playing over Mattner. Grundy also deserves a mention in defence, playing very well.

2. Worried about Jude, hopefully it's just a form slump because you'd hate to see him finish out his career in the reserves. Or worse carry him throughout the year, hurting the side and costing form players a game. Maybe a sub role for a few weeks would help him.

3. Tom Mitchell should not be wearing the green vest next week.

1. Tom Mitchell - the kid can play. Hate saying it, but this is not good news for Jude.

2. The Swans can play wet weather footy now.

3. Everitt continues to impress down back, the goal off a step from 55m was a bonus.

1. Mumford is playing well now and should have people off his back
2. Tom mitchell is better than the hype and should be rising star this week
3. Mitch morton didnt get much of it yesterday but i think he makes our forward line a lot better.

To fit players like lrt shaw mattner reid tippett in will be interesting, if its purely current form then guys like everitt and rampe would be bloody unlucky to go

I've been thinking a bit of the same, I think the game's starting to catch up with him now. scoring an average of 67 sc points a game, hasn't had less impact since 2002, so he's gone back a fair way. That's partly due to his role in the f50, he's still hitting the scoreboard and still putting pressure up forward, play 100% of the game pretty much, so he's still a valuable contributor, but surely his last season.

Question though, if we had a choice between Mitchell & Bolton heading into the GF, who would you choose?

I think while we are winning, Longmire will persist with Jude because he is hard at it & always makes his opponents think twice when he is around.
I think he offers a lot as a defensive forward but sometimes he can kick a goal or two just when we are in need of one & his leadership is awesome.

Give him a rest if he needs one but persist with Jude in our best 22.

Jude is struggling I agree with giving him a rest for a couple of weeks he doesn't need to play every game

1. I haven't seen Tom Mitchell and Jesus Christ in the same room together. I am not saying he is the son of God but I am not ruling it out either.

2. Grundy is so impressive. Has got better this year. Incredibly underrated.

3. The"team" is now in form which, when you get down to it, was what was lacking in prior weeks. Individual form can be carried now. I always knew the talent didn't disappear over summer but it was frustrating waiting for it to come to the fore consistently this year.

And yeh - CAS is correct. Bird is criminally underrated by everyone, not just this board.

1. SOPH_CROSS is a horrible person and you should never ever let her pick the rules during a drinking game, next time it will be Ted Richards!!!
2. The SCG is an amazing ground and I am really starting to become envious of people who can watch this amazing team play nearly every week.
3. Expected Mitchell to find the ball a fair bit but that is nothing new, What I learnt though is he won't be the sub next week.

1. Tom Mitchell!!! What else can be said, other than just wait until he has full match fitness to run out matches. GUN
2. Everitt in defence has been a great move. Shaw should come back, but Mattner might not with Everitt and Rampe in the form their in and LRT to return as well.
3. Morton has improved the team with his leading and by providing a target but Tippett will make it hard for him to keep his spot come Round 13 onwards
