What an utterly ridiculous thing to say, he’s dreadful in the air and he’s losing 1 on 1 contests at an alarming rate.

He’s also actually worse than McKay with the ball as well despite being more agile.

You’d like to think that at some stage we could get a look at him in the ruck so we can kinda make an informed call as to whether we persist or not, when or where we do that, I’m not sure.

Look, I get it — he’s not on McKay’s level, but nor should he be. He’s only two games into his career and was drafted primarily as a ruckman. The upside is that he's fit and playing and not costing the club 1.4m a year....

If Lav is the break out of glass option for defence then Blaki is the grab anything that’s available option.

Spot on. He competes despite being played out of position and entering the program half way through the year. Personally don't think he's up to AFL standard, but I respect the fact that he's competing hard at every contest.

I don't think he's AFL quality, but I'd still like to see him keep getting games over Laverde. He disposal is shocking but it's not like Laverde or even McKay are any better in that department.

That’s my point. I’m not writing him off as a player. I don’t really have an opinion on him in other positions. I’m talking strictly about defence.
