Plenty. I don't support the liberals...nor labor....nor anyone or any party. I support certain values, certain policies and certain perspectives....but im not stupid enough to get rusted on to a party which I suspect 90% of the posters in here are well and truely oxidised.

A win for Labor, and no doubt relief for many on the left, but really is it a ‘great’ victory? They have won with a comparatively shrunken primary. There are some deep lessons and thought required for both major parties required moving foward. Time to be humble.

This time the two party preferential killed the LNP.

The reason was, people preferred ANYONE else but Scumo.

How the libs get out of their mess is anyone's guess.

Mudock/Sky want to move further into the RW religious/conservative realm. That's the populist one of white supremacy, anti science, anti worker & loony conspiracy theories.

It'll be interesting to see how Potato brain reunites the cracked & collapsing broad church of LNP's ideological inconsistencies. So is further RW populist isolation the answer?

While masai tu makes a good point about this being a line of a new standard to apply there will be those who are not eager to forgive and forget. Partly due to the demonstrated history that it is the lnp and the Murdoch media that seeks the gutter attacks first but carry on like salty children when the shoe is on the other foot.

You asked whether I actively called out and condemned similar type comments from lnp members. I dare say to the extent I “actively called out Tanya” then I did. Be it on this forum or elsewhere. Such comments in the terms I would have made them would have been lost in the flood of invective surrounding them. And there would have been no engagement on them.

My comment about Tanya was more in jest than anything else.

I don’t think it’s ok for any political entity to make those sorts of comments. I think it’s even worse to confect outrage about them whilst wilfully making them yourself.

But that ship has long sailed.
