Just arrived home, great to get a win over those clowns…….Have just opened this thread but Clarko should be disappointed in himself as well. Let's get the yuck bit out of the way - last quarter was a fizzer. Thankfully we rode it out.

But that was more than a win for wins sake. It meant something.

When the door was open at 15 vs 18 - we finally walked through. It's that moment in games with a bit of feeling that we've failed at for so long. A mental fork in the road - fail and the heads drop. This time we passed and the tails were up.

I said during the week Carlton were the exact type of opponent we needed to beat. Finals aspirant, that tier above us. And we did it.

Individuals:

Colby finishing his work is class

Darling, Parker and Daniel are bringing the in-game professionalism we needed. Whilst Darling and Parker's input is more palpable, Daniel rolls up contest to contest, possession to possession and is there trying to create openings too.

Pink another strong game. Let's enjoy that without the ridiculous 'has his limitations' disclaimer that always gets thrown in. Give the man his credit.

Comben is a lionheart.

McDonald and Mykonos competed very well.

Xerri went from just rucking to taking possession too when his teammates were faltering late.

I think Larkey is having his Luke Hodge transition. Plausible like he's had his game adjusted to be a cog intended machine rather than the focal point. He's presenting more upfield, giving more CHF hand offs and the goal spreads are better.

Wardlaw was the right sub. He was flailing around to no effect, Fisher played a decent quarter.

Quite like the dynamic building between Zurhaar, Curtis and Konstanty as our trio of bash brothers.

That was our most meaningful win since probably GWS 2020 or Hawthorn 2021.
