Autopsy Autopsy vs Carlton - absolutely bashed the shit out of the Blues

100% we are improving, but it’s the same old stupid footy holding this team from breaking out.

The mentality of just trying to hold on is talking them nowhere.

Today was the day to be ruthless and play to bury a side.

Carlton can’t score if we take it forward, but instead we just wanted to play in the back half and invite the pressure.
Agree & am sure Clarko will address it.

Did we underestimate the value of Wardlaw when we substituted him? He creates opportunities with his physicality. Fisher was good. However, we needed George’s grunt all game.

Recall any game where he was unavailable due to injury, we’re almost a completely different side. We’re less physical and there’s less space created at contests.

I feel bad for all of those who declared they were never watching us again after the Good Friday game.

3.5 wins from 8 games since then.
It's such a dumb thing to say. They know, I know, you know, everyone knows, that if you're nuffy enough to have a social media account dedicated to your footy team, whether it's on here or somewhere else, you're never jumping off that ship unless you're forced to by your club ceasing to exist

Out of legs, especially after the high pressure games of the last two weeks but so happy with the win.

Hopefully we recover well and show up against hawks.

It's a good question. His direct offensive output was horrifically poor but regardless of that, he is arguably the key to the midfield which has a lot of knock on effects one way or the other depending on if he is there.

It seems to me that we tend to lose in the centre unless we have someone to disrupt things. I don’t know why this is. However, Wardlaw seems to make the ball available for LDU and Powell to feast.

Fantastic result and win.
The last qtr leaves a little sour taste but overall i am happy.

Across the board i didn't think we had any poor performers and it was a team effort.
We are improving before our eyes and it's great to genuinely feel we can win against most teams now.

LOL

Last quarter takes an enormous amount of gloss off that.

Simply don’t know to put sides away.
Dude - you would be the worst at parties.

If the sides were reversed - you’d be saying “yeah, wouldn’t read into all the goals we kicked in the last. Game was dead by then and the other team stopped”

Give me a spell. We’ve won sub 20 games since 2020. Gloss? Get a grip.

Unreal win - no two ways about it

Happy with the win, last quarter was shithouse but hopefully it will prevent the bathwater drinking that would have occurred had we won by a lot. We will need to be switched on against the hawks.

I am still not happy about the vast quantity of coughing up the ball when not under pressure, it is something we must address.

His impact isn't accurately measured in the number of legitimate disposals he has. It felt as if we subbed out intent when we subbed him.

Shout out to Jy, channeling his inner Jed Anderson in the third quarter.
