interesting to see the make up of the side with so many talls now available this week. if larkey gets through training sounds like he'll be back meaning we'd have majak larkey brown walker tarrant all available to play and mckay playing well last week. Land of the giants anyone? surely we'd be able to clunk marks up fwd with that many talls hahaha. maybe even chuck durdin in for shits and giggles

I'd say can get away with 5 as played with 3 tall backs with durds last year so if daw is back guessing bmac be dropped and walker back

How about we try blokes who are supposed to be midfielders in the - you know - midfield?

LMac, Bonar with Higgo will be the first rotation.

Froggy, LDU and Jed the second rotation.

Ahern, Polec and CZ the third rotation.

Let's stop whining and start playing!

Lmac has been starting in the midfield,,,,typically in a tagging role though. I do agree with you, Froggy in particular I think is a natural inside mid who plays on a wing. Bonar with his size in cunners/JZ's abscence as well. Love to see LDU come straight in too. Pretty telling that Goldy leads the comp in clearances, he's a pretty decent sized inside mid!

For some reason I thought the reduction in football department staff this season, will be a leveler that will help us to compete against the big clubs. Geez, that didn't quite work out.
Shaw also said the shortened quarters would help us as well, presumably due to our better players staying on the ground longer, and us being able to sustain our style of play for longer. Injuries and poor game plan trumped that easily.

What we have now is a situation where a 3-4 goal loss to Carlton will seem like a respectable result. :(

It didn’t work cos we got rid of footy coaching staff

And instead kept more physios/ high performance team

Which has not helped at all

Anything to LDU in the yellow bib? Which the coaches were also in?

It's 2020. The year you just lube up and think this will be over eventually.

I can just see it now.

The season ends and we get the news that ‘all those injured guys will be right to go Day 1 of the preseason.’

Day 1 rolls around and one of us is giving training reports. Rumours start that LDU is having groin issues, Simpkin still in rehab, Thomas’ recovery still ongoing, Walker has lost his artificial limb, Jacobs is somehow on the list after Cameron Joyce broke into the club and inked him to a one year extension.

The club trots out Frank Drebin who waves his hands back and forth in the middle of Arden St as the five mentioned above walk behind him in various states of injury.

Vision is then captured of Ben Cunnington doing his best impersonation of the Hunchback of Notre Dame whilst walking towards his Mazda BT-50.

Great times.

You forgot that the AFL cancels the draft and all pick are null and void :Stern Look

Rawlings gave the impression in the sponsors meet n greet that he’d be in.

When asked about LDU, he said there will be 4 good ins that supporters will appreciate.
Very nice, give us some reasons to get excited for the game

Maj, Zurhaar, LDU should be 3 of the 4

And one of Larkey/Turner would be my guess depending on weather
