When David MacKay is passed fit he slots straight back into your midfield right?
Depending on how long he's out for he might have to spend a week or two in the SANFL to regain match fitness, but once that's achieved he'll be straight back into the seniors.

don't be disingenuous now, you are perfectly aware that was a reference to a direct quote. it wasn't hard to miss, it was ummm... quoted :p

so 10 players were inherited, thus have been constant who count a lot more than a stack of guys who have debuted in recent weeks and are no certainty to be on anyone's list in 3 years time.

Ps. you can't have Porplyzia as it was craig who originally delisted in him in 2004 :D

we still have one of the oldest teams in the league, far above what it should be for our current position on the ladder. Richmond's team against us was nearly 4 years younger old average

except he's still heavily reliant on the same old players, who cares if he has a revolving door on the same spots. by his own admission we are still reliant on the old guys, which is what matters - would you like a link to your coaches award thread?

Further you know very well our B&F top 10's are still dominated by the old guard.

last year there were only 2 players in the top 10 drafted in the last 5 years. the year before, none.
that's a shocking indictment.

go check Collingwood's turnover since 2004 and if its comparable or thereabouts I'll happily concede.

Gotta say not with you on this one Crow-mo. Definitely been a significant list overhaul. Whether or not we have found enough A-listers yet remains to be seen.

Collingwood 2009 B&F:
Place Name
1 Dane Swan (drafted 2001)
2 Nick Maxwell (rookie listed 2002)
3 Heath Shaw (f/s 2003)
4 Harry O'Brien (drafted 2004)
5 Alan Didak (drafted 2000)
6 Scott Pendlebury (drafted 2005)
7 Tarkyn Lockyer (1998 rookie listing)
8 Leon Davis (drafted 1999)
9 Simon Prestigiacomo (drafted 1995!!!)
10 Shane O'Bree (drafted 1997)

only 2 drafted from 2004 onwards - bad call mate. lead the way and admit it :)

you make it too easy Forrest.

1997 Adelaide, top 4th. best % in the league
1998 Adelaide 5th. best % in the league (by a lot)

care to explain which of 2007,2008,2009,2010 were comparable?

Stupid is as stupid does :D

Sad little man

* I'm sorry are our best players we cannot do without (according to craig last week) still >33 - yes/no?

* are the 3 players leading the coaches awards drafted 10 years ago or earlier? (McLeod, Goodwin, Johncock) Yes/No

* does our coach prefer to play a senior player at all costs? yes/no?

* has the average of our team remained constant at approx 26 years old, from round 1 2005, to round 7 2010 - yes/no?

* is that average still one of the highest in the league despite debuting a number of young players, and being in the bottom two? yes/no

yeah, what was I thinking.

Your not ....you think every story can be told through stats

But as you've demonstrated clearly you can pull out stats to support any argument .....it's a a matter of which stats you deem most relevant

Despite what you may believe your not the arbitrator of which are relevant bits of info to be used

don't be disingenuous now, you are perfectly aware that was a reference to a direct quote. it wasn't hard to miss, it was ummm... quoted :p

Backtracking huh! ......that's what happens when you make statements without any support

Your not expecting anyone to check whether your right .....and Vader did

You are the biggest bluffer on this board ......

Are stats again ....always tells a story as fact doesn't it Cro-Mo

How many players over 30 played ....two
Richmond are bottom ....they have to play kids b4 their ready .....off course their average age is therefore down

good stats .... that's all you contribute

except he's still heavily reliant on the same old players, who cares if he has a revolving door on the same spots. by his own admission we are still reliant on the old guys, which is what matters - would you like a link to your coaches award thread?

Please quote where he has said "heavily reliant" ........he has said he expects a good contribution ....but that statement you've again just made up

But will stand to be corrected

l

that's a shocking indictment.

Get real  ....how many top 10 picks have we had ?
How many have failed to make this an indictment on the club and Craig ........your credibility is stinking!

go check Collingwood's turnover since 2004 and if its comparable or thereabouts I'll happily concede.
That's you job to do that to support the off the cuff statement as fact .....obviously didn't know the answer b4 making statement as fact  ......sloppy

Gotta say not with you on this one Crow-mo. Definitely been a significant list overhaul. Whether or not we have found enough A-listers yet remains to be seen.

In his desire to put people down ....he's simply "bluffing" and hoping no-one checks

39 – Simon Goodwin (1996 psd)
38 – Michael Doughty (1999 rookie draft)
38 – Graham Johncock (2000 draft)
38 – Kurt Tippett (2006 draft)
36 – Scott Thompson (2000 melb draft, 2004 trade to adel)
30 – Tyson Edwards (1994 psd)
30 – Andrew McLeod (1994 psd thank you chris groom!)
29 – Chris Knights (2004 draft)

ayres years still hurting when you compare to pies. lets revisit in 2 years for mine.

rate most his posts. response here will be interesting.
Not the slightest bit interested in a response ....because he won't add anything to a discussion

that's incredibly childish imo but thats your choice.

Think we all respond to certain posters, or certain post subjects if we feel there's a good interactive discussion ......I always will ;)

Haha, you're so full of it right now.

You still havent manned up and admitted you were wrong from earlier.

blah blah blah...

Torney, Clarke, Hart, Massie would disagree. Just because you keep repeating yourself, dosent make it true.

just wow. 4 players in 6 years, great example.

nice work chump :thumbsu:

before they're ready huh? you mean to occupy the same spot on the ladder as us

don't play dumb. are you telling me that if I go through the thread talking about Craig making the statement "I don't think our supporters appreciate where we would be without them..." I won't see your name in there?

sad and pathetic.

ah look, whilst they are fielding a much younger side you're right that is certainly comparable which was the standard I put out there.

fair play :thumbsu:

I'm just going by this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Porplyzia

if you have better information, please share.

Try Footywire, the 2002 Rookie Draft (end of 2002) and 2005 Pre-Season Draft (end of 2005).

I can't find any official source stating whether he was delisted at the close of 2003 or 2004 though, just lots of circular references.
