Pearce needs to go find some form and I don't want Lower to go but he is not being used correctly, he shouldn't be in defense and it will be an easy decision for them to bring Chappy in for him.

I heard that he was pretty average for the magpies but I guess it can be hard going back to the sanfl for the first time in a while not knowing many players. Choco said on MMM before the game that he wasn't great so I don't expect to see him back this week.

I think you might have confused what the club will do with what you would do.

I can't see Pearce being dropped, and I don't think his game today warranted omission.

I think that Thurstans has unsettled the defence a little bit. ever since he has come back we have had a few situations where we get beat man on man like last year. Chappy knows when to leave his man and help out and is a little stronger and smarter in the one on one contests.

I'd love to have Carr in for the Showdown, but nobody's game warranted omission today (except maybe Pearce, but the Showdown medal victory last year will probably keep him in for at least one more chance). If someone doesn't come up due to injury (Gray, Rodan and Boak all copped minor injuries at some point today) he's straight back in.

Despite a couple of cringeworthy moments from Toby today (again) he actually played another solid game and teh defence does look beter with him in it. It allows Chad or Chappy to play more of a third man up role and to use their athleticism to both help out in defence and launch our attacks. I have chamghed my tune on this in the last few weeks as Toby has played significantly better and Chad/Chappy have really relished that third tall role.

Agree.

Lower deserves a few weeks in a row (3-4 minimum), rather than a couple one-offs, most of which have come when the team overall get spanked on the field and on the scoreboard.

These two will surely have to wait until the team loses and players do not perform, instead of randomily placing them back in, it was obvious our team played as a team and it's amazing what useful enthusiam does.

Broady looked good, but at 18 he will need a rest, Collingwood rotate their juniors magnificently, we need to follow their example, I would personally give Broadie another two games see if he drops off and bring Hartlett back in exchange for him through the SANFl.

Chappy, Toby, Bob, Chad, Stewart takes us back to those 5 super talls in the defense again however.

Dunno about mid or wing, KPP is probably his spot I reckon, I am no expert, out of all 4 I would probably say Toby goes, which is harsh because he's been ok sinse returning, but sometimes it's just bad luck. he done enough to warrant another 1 year contract for depth thats for sure.

Stewart I would say is more nimble so would have to stay.

Wasn't it last season we played this set up and we were crying it's too tall.

I fear they would run around us with this line up. I would love to stand corrected however.

Chappy is a must inclusion. I just can't see however Stewart deserves to be dropped though. Lower is an easy decision I guess, because he's been thrown around sooooo many times. But the coaches are gonna earn theri dollars now.

At least the Crows could be a little vulnerable after this week and here's our chance to make a little stamp on the final 8.

i think ure forgetting that chad is argueably the best utility in the league
he can play midfield (which he will when chaplin comes back) he can play wing, he can play loose man and he can play forward
