If only they weren’t banned due to their potential use as a weapon dangerous to spectators in the current soft litigious prone world. I was at Madison Square Garden in 2018 watching the t-shirt gun firing off tees into the crowd like a Howitzer. No issue and when I told the New Yorker alongside me that these were banned in Melbourne, including in stadiums larger than the US football stadiums, he gave me the biggest “WTF?” look.

Yeah, though to be fair, I'm not sure I'd be putting a heap of stock in American's views on which potential weapons are worth banning.

If I recall correctly, Adelaide are last for scoring from defensive transition which is our weakness in terms of defending.

We'll need to be really switched on when they try to move through the defensive zone. Hold position and force them into an unforced error swarming from behind.

Agree. Seriously good opposition and a really strong defensive unit we're coming up against.
A tough ask for such a young and inexperienced team, especially with Cam going out as well.
Probably plays out a bit like the Giants game where they are just a bit too classy and quick for us.
I'm not sure either team will be wanting to get injured, so I'd expect some bruise free footy most likely last round.

"It's just a different time". Of course it is. It's a time when we've learnt that role models using slurs means kids use slurs, and those slurs are used to bully and harass someone based on something they can't change in a world where bullies have 24/7 access to victims via the internet. Something that consistently leads to kids killing themselves, developing extreme anxieties, or living a lesser life.

The gay community spend their lives being attacked by major religions and have to watch as bigots get air time for simply hating how they were born. Avoiding it is impossible to do in an internet age. It's relentless. Why do you think there are no openly gay AFL players? Why do you think this other player doesn't want to be involved?

Action needs to be taken because it's about sending a message that denigrating someone based on an inescapable aspect of themselves is not acceptable. If that means an AFL player (who should know better) misses a grand final or someone has to feel a little uncomfortable because they're "not sure what they can and can't say these days" just so one less kid kills themselves then so be it.
