It's one thing if Gawn is the best player on the ground. It's very different when it's Tom De Koning or Bailey Williams.
Both De Koning and Darcy Cameron got their career highest supercoach score in their games against Lycett (De Koning surpassed it against West Coast but they're the worst team in history). I know supercoach isn't a perfect metric, but gee.

Nick Murray did an ACL on the weekend. Shocking news, I assume it was the play where it looked like he rolled an ankle.
I used this theory to a Carlton supporter last week. I said to him Jonas and Silvagni can cancel each other out. Didn’t work out as I planned

Wish we could swap some of our defence for the Crow's tbh. Would love to have a Murray/Doedee/Michalanney/Butts etc. at our disposal than Jonas, Clurey and some makeshift defenders / dudes no where near it like Pasini/McCallum
We seem to develop better midfielders while they develop better tall defenders.

I realise that there are bragging rights associated with a Showdown but if we have to rest Lycett for a couple of weeks to get him right for the finals we should do it. That is given the injury will respond to a couple of week's rest. Lycett is definitely not 100% fit. Against Collingwood Lycett, Dixon and Finlayson all looked cooked.
That sad fact is our big man stocks are ratshit. Those who are capable are carrying injuries and the replacements are not up to it at this stage. We have a bit of list sorting to do at the end of the year.

With Murray going down I think we can afford to rest Charlie before the trip to the cattery.
Bring In Visente or Lord to play forward/ruck giving him some game time and Lycett a chop out.
We should be able to account for the crows with their outs and form without Dix.
Player management will be huge for us going into finals and I think will have a big impact on our chances.
