Meh... Atkins was awful, and would normally be first in line for the axe after a performance that bad. Fortunately for him, several of his peers were even worse (worse than awful - which is really saying something).Rubbish. Best is simply a relative term, only implying that his positive connotations exceeded those of his competitors.
Next thing, you'll be saying that a 70 kg player who is the heaviest in his team is really not because he's actually quite light.
Brodie Smith is a bit of a mystery. All the Bigfooty ex-spurts have called for him to be moved into the midfield for as long as the eye can see. He looked great in the pre-season and has turned in two shockers. Is it the changing roles of our midfield, is he actually a half back flanker or is he still recovering from the CAMP?
The bigfooty exes have also demanded that the Seed be moved to half back (except for Mark Bickley who has always thought he was at half back) .......and he was terrible in defence against the Pear.
The exes have demanded we play only one ruck and a smaller forward line. Now some of the same exes want to bring back Frampton or The Berg?
Nicksy, please stop reading Bigfooty, half the posters live in a nursing home, half live in a mental institution and the other half are still in primary school.

At the end of the day, the other players were worse, which means that Atkins was never going to be in line for the axe ahead of his 100th game, which is the point that was originally being made.
Best news was that Hamill is ahead of D-Mac and Gibbs for the HBF role.So just Hamill for Milera (inj).
Yeah, that's a fail grade as much as I am happy that Will gets a debut. In particular because of the plan of no-changes without that surgery.
No one is ever satisfied around here
( well I guess we have historical reasons )
Hamill in
YES
I think overall it is fair1 change forced by injury after our most insipid showdown effort in history.
At least you can rely on the crows to stay true to their traditions.
It's round 3 and we have had 3 debutants to AFL, another 3 debutants for the Club, Gibbs has been dropped and not recalled and Mackay hasn't played at all. While I would like to see more kids too, that's more change than we normally see in a season! So just Hamill for Milera (inj).

I in a large part agree but this is really a second game in ConsecutivelyNo. You cannot feel satisfaction about those insipid changes.
This is not a successful group that needs a jolt because they slightly dipped in standards. This is a group of senior players who over the past 3 years have failed time and time again. Giving them a chance to respond is absolutely stupid if this is the 10th time we've given them that chance.
We're only just guaranteeing we get belted again with the same level of insipidness at some point this season. No changes to this group after a 75 point drubbing is absolutely disgusting.

Don’t perform this weekend match and I am all for pissing quite a few senior players out the door
I'm happy enough to give them a week to respond. Yes it's true they've been disappointing for a little while but if indeed we have a new game style, I'm yet to see much evidence, then they get 1 week.No. You cannot feel satisfaction about those insipid changes.

I bet they won't respond. The problem is we back the boys in, they respond, but only for a short period of time. Then performances erode and eventually we have another blip with the very same players playing like absolute sh*t.
Rinse and repeat. Lessons never learned. Team stays its mediocre best
