One other change to come in, Nicks won't say who. Fingers crossed it's Worrell.

Edit: Sounds like Fogarty in the midfield again.
If Hamill is fit then not surprised Worrell misses out again. Murray is the better lockdown player. Leaving Worrell out last week was the missed opportunity.

And Sloane, Hamill & Brown all confirmed in. McPherson has to be gone. Wonder who the other two outs will be.
McKay, small forward, Murray/Himmelberg would be out for me. They’ll probably play small this week. So, Fog could be in. McKay probably be the sub.

Like those changes, really missed Hamill’s run last week and McPherson is not in form. I just hope Brown is fully fit because we need him to do a job on Gray.

Unfortunately it looks like Josh Worrell has been snubbed again
Who does he replace? I can only think of Murray, but he played ok against the Giants and deserves a consistent run. If Hamill wasn’t fit then I think Worrell would’ve come in, last week was the missed chance.

I wouldn't have made like for like changes

Presuming all the tests are ready to play, I'd go this

Out: Rowe, McAdam, Himmelberg, McPherson, Mackay
In: Sloane, Fogarty, Worrell, Brown, Hamill

B Brown - Butts - Doedee
HB Hamill - Murray - Smith
C Sholl - Sloane - Seedsman
HF McHenry - Walker - Berry
F Murphy - Fogarty - Thilthorpe
R O'Brien - Laird - Keays

I Schoenberg - Hately - Kelly - Worrell

Changes would have to be:
Fog for Berg
Sloane for Hately/Berry
Brown for McPherson
Hamill for Rowe?

With Brown and Hamill back surely Mackay does not survive.

I mean he will survive of course. But surely not.

Annoying that the coaches are out here knowing full well what the sides will be but the AFL doesn't allow the teams to be released on a Thursday when they actually decide them.

Hopefully that will change soon
I don’t get why they can’t just change it immediately, clearly it is going to change. Why would clubs need any warning on this?

Nicks says Sloane, Brown and Hamill will return.
Interesting.

One would think that means:
OUT: Mackay, Murray and Hately?

Personally I would rather drop Himmelberg and keep Murray.

For me the team is:

B: Brown Butts Hamill
HB: Smith Murray Doedee
C: Sholl Sloane Seedsman
HF: Schoenberg Walker Murphy
FF: Rowe Fogarty Thilthorpe

1R: ROB Keays Laird

INT: McHenry Berry McAdam Kelly

I've gone for Fogarty over Himmelberg - just for the excited crash and bash he offers.
McAdam VERY lucky
Murray in defence - we need two key defenders. This will help Doedee play his normal role.
McPherson squeezed out in favour of Kelly (never thought I'd write those last 4 words)
Hately out for Sloane
Rowe to kick 5 in a BOG performance

Folks...is there a chance this could get quite ugly?

More than a chance, we are at a 13-18th on the ladder stage of our development, they are at the zenith of their development, perennial Prelim chokers...I mean, if this game was a Preliminary final, I'd have put some serious cash on us...

Bear it for a couple of years. Let the puffers puff. It will change back - it always does.

In the meantime we can watch them go through the season undefeated (...wait), and witness their 3 flags over the next 5 years.
The whole lack of expectation I find - apart from the GWS game where they were weak - has made it a way less stressful experience going to the games

Also have had a taste of port size crowds - quite a comfy number of people leaving and going back over the bridge

Are we surprised?

They're flat track bullies so this is exactly the game that they love.

They'll smash us and as usual the Tealsters will be up and about claiming the flag is already won and completely forget about how they've been exposed twice already this year.

All the expectation on them .....
It’s a good place to be 😀
It's a long season..
No different to Richmond resting players round 6 last year against us in Adelaide.
Rubbish
Last year was a weird out the box Covid mish mash

I think it's safe to say every week is a chance it could get ugly.

That said, the stars are aligning for it. A downhill skier with a top 4 list coming off a belting against a bottom 4 team beginning to rack up the losses is not exactly a recipe for a close game.

Tom Lynch, who was match fit just 2 weeks ago and hasn't played or trained since, will miss 2 months with toe surgery

Must have tripped at home or something. Poor bloke, so innocuous, so unlucky. Just goes to show that no matter how well you manage players, freak accidents can occur.
