I’d be bringing in Meek. Lobb obviously can’t ruck and Logue has a crack and actually with his leap gets the tap but has no idea what to do as a ruck.

He can play forward again. I’d like to see Sturt get a game but he will likely have to wait.

In: Meek, Switta
Out: Tabs (inj), Tucker
Medi Sub: Tucker
Second Emergency: Johnson
Henry, Banfield, Sturt, Treacy to all play at Peel

It’s not really a good omen for us when you come in with a big swinging dick prediction I’ve noticed

Officially worried now
Serious? Typical.

I backed us heavily early days when I noticed our style had changed. Got about 5 in a row and went hard with my comments. Then got ONE wrong against Gold Coast and everyone had a crack at me. Decided to back up against Pies and copped more abuse.

Happy for you to find ANYWHERE else I’ve made BIG swinging dick predictions and got them wrong.

Nailed most others.

I never commented about Carlton away, Richmond away, Sydney or Melbourne at home.

So, maybe 8 or so right and 2 wrong.

Typical pussy poster style to focus on the couple that were wrong.

Out; Taberner, Darcy

In; Treacy, Meek

Switkowski replaces Henry as medisub.

Get some afl form into Meek and Treacy, give Darcy a roll of cotton wool to wrap himself in, and give our only other viable and available kpf a run.
I don’t get Switta into medi sub, a few have said it. If he’s fit to play, he needs game time either at Freo or Peel with finals just around the corner.

Kram I love the bravery of this poster.

Reminds me of Tough man Tony Abbott lol

There’s a small chance Eagles also go full tank mode and place a couple of players on injured list with the 6 day break and then also have Geelong away.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Nic Nat (sore) and a couple others done for the season.

Also there's a fixturing reason that they would want us to finish top 6 so they will avoid any double up games against the other current top 6 teams next year.
But actually it's all bullshit and we don't need them to tank for us to win comfortably

My view is that Switta probably needs a run somewhere - either Freo or Peel - maybe comes in as the sub ?
Tabs out - not sure who comes in - Meek ? Banfield ? Sturt ?

I would probably say Banfield is likely but Meek may need to be rewarded.

I think Sturt probably needs another performance at Peel to back up his 4 goals last start - it was unfortunate Peel didn't play over the weekend. Treacy seems to have missed the last couple of weeks, but could be a smoky selection I guess.

There seems to be a strong injury management ethos at the club, which is great.
I agree it would seem the best approach to send Switta back via Peel, however you also have to consider the context of the season.

If Switta plays at Peel this week, then he would presumably be ready to play AFL in R23, the last round.
If Fyfe then passes his fitness test for R23, what do you do with him? Play him at Peel? Play two players coming back off injuries?
Alternatively, if you play Switta and don't play Fyfe, that means Fyfe's first game back would likely be an elimination final.
And this is all about the individual, more importantly how do you get the team set up right?

So my thinking is you may be better off rolling the dice and putting Switta into the team this week, but it would probably depend on their view of Fyfe's likely availability.

Agree. Switta will play this week then Fyfe v GWS. Both to then have fitness sessions in the week off.
Help that West Coast are coming off a 6 day break. Back Switta to play the full game, and Henry/Banfield as sub in case

West Coast showed us no mercy between 2016-2020 when they were in Finals and we were struggling.

I expect the same to be returned we have about 8-9 derbies to win a row to square the ledger.

Tim Kelly copped a 1 week suspension, doubt they’ll bother defending it.

I'm worried about the Eagles bringing a physical game to derail our finals campaign and the more contests there are the more opportunities they will have to put on the hard contact.
I've re-watched the first 2022 Derby. Various Eagles took every opportunity to dish out gratuitous thumps and bumps on our younger players.

And Tucker was actually having a good game till his on-field collision/collapse.
