Apparnetly Collingwood are resting Pendles, Maynard, De Goey and Mihocek.
Smart call, but even without those players they'll still embarrass us.
Yep and even then we were lucky to run them to a draw and that’s when they were , for the most part playing fairly average that yearThey didn't have their best team when they played us here last year either. 6 players with 10 games or less.
You can’t get any closer than a draw.Even if they thought we were a threat then they would still be resting their leaders. If we were really a threat then they would be a good chance to lose to us at home regardless of who plays so may as well cop the L and let your geriatrics rest.
No reason of them to think we're a threat though considering JL has never come close to beating McCrae

Yep that’s pretty much how I see it.Yep and even then we were lucky to run them to a draw and that’s when they were , for the most part playing fairly average that year
I’m supremely confident any half decent coach can stifle us but McRae and Collingwood especially have easily had JLs number so I expect we ll come out hungry for half or so but ultimately our mediocre coach and his ridiculously complicated “controlled” gameplan will again be pulled apart with Collingwood barely getting out of third gear
Definitely regressed from 2022We’ll know within 10 minutes if it’s over.
That’s what I really hate about this team at the moment.
A few years ago we would get beaten early then adjust things & peg it back and finish stronger.
Now we’re back to the very worst version of the Dockers. The one that you can tell the games over in 10 minutes.
2022 was Josh Carr’s last season with us…Definitely regressed from 2022
They've lost their fight.
Sounds like my lifeOut: Purple Traffic Cones, Team Psychologist

I’ll say it.
Everything is in the head with this team.
The turning point was the Collingwood SF back in 2022.
We got so spooked by what happened that night and haven’t mentally recovered.
Longmuir got so spooked he reverted our game plan to slow ball movement.
The truth is we selectively perform.
If it gets too hard, we curl up in a ball.
It’s all very much in the head with the WHOLE CLUB.
We know we can play but we’re too spooked to take the game on.
They do this every year if they have to play in Perth. Having to travel more than 20 minutes really knocks them about, they aren't used to it.
When was the last time we ever came from behind at 3QT to actually win a game of football? The only one that comes to mind is vs Geelong in 2012 at Subi..... can't even think of any from the Ross era, although there must've been a couple. None under JLo though..We’ll know within 10 minutes if it’s over.

If they get over 50k, that's a problem - shows the board our fans are accepting of this kind of mediocrity. We should all not go to the game in protest and then have Pies supporters outnumber Freo supporters in Perth. I'm flying home this week and initially had pencilled in to go to this game with the Old man, but we've decided to watch at a pub in Freo instead. That way at least we can drink full strength beer if it goes to sh*t.Anyone care to speculate on crowd for Thursday?
Over 50k you reckon?
I reckon coz of the Pies Army, and our blokes looking for redemption.
Think of all the frequent flyer points he missed out onI don't know why you say that. Pendles, the ultimate warrior, the longevity king, would be playing his 100th interstate game against us. I can't even imagine having to endure such hardship. Can you imagine a player having to play ONE HUNDRED games out of their home state? The toll that must take physically? Mentally? Pendlebury, you are a true Champion!

*assuming not injuredLongmuir position change to full forward - better at it…
Seriously, its time to break glass and get Brodie back in - we need midfield bull / extractor to get the ball to andy and caleb - and with fyfe, young and driz out, johnson almost as likely as not to turn the ball over, raz not consistent enough… its brodie time!
I really like the Wagner to Daicos idea.I’d go with…
In - Brodie, Simpson, Voss
Out - Young, Draper, Narkle
I’m not one who always says Brodie should come in, but why not at this point. At least we know he’ll get first hands on the ball and he adds the size we need.
I’d also give Jackson stints as a mid, and give Wagner the tagging job on Daicos.
Simpson is in to give some run and unpredictability off half back, and it seems everyone can see we’re too tall down back. Although the big move I’d like to see is Ryan being taken off kick outs.
And Narkle is unlucky after two games as the sub, but I’d bring Voss back in the sub role. He might get himself reported when he finally comes on, but he’ll bring the energy others don’t.
Hopefully there's been plenty of match sims of Jackson roving to Darcy this week. I want to see it first centre bounce Thursday.I’d go with…

Erasmus if there is a future it is only for one?Who would people prefer - Brodie or Erasmus in this week for Young?
