So we just beat the team on top of the ladder... do we make any changes? I think the answer is yes.

Thompson and Lyons will probably be dropped for Truck and D-Mac you would imagine. Then you have Kerridge, if fit, will come straight back in, so who goes out for him? It would be tough on Martin or Porplyzia to be dropped after playing pretty well today.

Then there's Ricky Henderson. He's in out best 22, but maybe give him another week in the 2's and bring him back for Hawthorn.

You don't make changes after that performance. That would be foolhardy to mess with a winning combo. Sends the wrong message. This may save Reilly but as I said before he may be the exception.

Pods with 12 possessions, 11 of them uncontested going at 58.3% effective, 2 of which were clangers. He seems spent for the entire game after the opening few minutes. We'll be a better side without him in it.
Reilly's just not up to it. When his kicks come off it looks great, but he makes some god awful decisions and is turned around far too easily.

Yeah nah Pods was fine, Reilly was too, until he had to kick it !!!!

Kedge has a hotspot in his foot, he will miss IMO and they didnt sound confident about Laird. Porpy did some important things but probably not enough, Thompson was VERY good IMO.

Good position to be in but we cant stand still.

reilly just made too many mistakes for mine. thought luke thompson's game was outstanding, especially with the lack of leadership without truck down there. i'd give truck the extra week. i love hendo's run and he and brodie smith could be a potent slingshot. porps, did some good things, but he's not someone we're keeping around.

if kerridge or laird pop up then adjustments may be made, but there's no major need to rush them back.

Can't afford to take this game lightly. We have to travel up there and we did lose to Melbourne, at home...

We just beat the top team. Now we're playing the 16th team. The week after, we play the team who's probably top.

The only thing you do this week is test out any player who you think might be able to make a contribution at the top level that you havent yet seen at the top level.

That person is hendo. He should be the only change. Not sure who for. Porps perhaps. Yes I know not like for like.

Give Mackay, Kerridge and Laird some time to rest up, get rid of some bruises. Rutten, Matt Crouch, Porps, Cameron to give it everything in the twos for selection against the hawks. That way we should have pretty much a full compliment battle tested and available to pick from.
