Play Hutch as a small defender?
Ablett would have him on toast.
Much better to play a pure defender on the baby god
With Yeo going head to head with Dangerman

It's not like Ablett is left one out in the forward 50 or anything. He's a high HFF and around the stoppages more often than not.

Plus what defender would you play on him? Nelson? Against one of the greatest of all time? Cole? Yikes.

And Shep is too good of a defender to be playing a full negating role IMO.

Let Hutch go to work, we are losing very little with Hutchings on Gaz. As ive said, limiting his impact even slightly goes a long way to us winning.

Shut up........just shut up.
Aussie bar I take it? Then depending on how happy you are a stroll around the Tiger bars? If so visit Sin City bar and say hi to Joe :thumbsu:
Dunno

Aussie bar, maybe Oscar. Wherever there is more eye candy.

And good screens...And I can hear the game. Hopefully some WCE supporters in there too.

Then onto tiger and then illuzion

+1 for Hutchings on Ablett.

Could also play a forward tag on Tom Stewart. He's +100 kicks ahead of the next best teammate (#2 in AFL) and 3:1 to the next best for rebound 50s (#1 in AFL). He is the focal point of getting the ball of defensive 50. Shut him down and you only really need to worry about Tuohy who isn't generally a high possession winner. Tag Hurn and we still have Sheppard and Jetta, and McGovern's field kicking is excellent. Just don't give the ball to Tom Barrass 5m from goal.

Stewart's kicking stats are inflated because he regularly plays on from kick-ins, and he takes most of them as far as I can tell. Hard to stop that. But this does show that they clearly want him with ball in hand, he's pretty quick too. Would be great to shut him down somehow.

Not sure that Hutchings is going to be able to play the sort of role where he makes Stewart accountable in the air though, which is what I'd be most worried about.

I read it somewhere about Kelly has minor injury to his knee.
He looked a bit unbalanced with his walk at the end of last week‘s game
Someone who claimed to know him on Reddit said he was cleaning his gutters during the pre finals bye and fell off the ladder and hurt himself, said he was touch and go for the first week, maybe that's the reason he hurt his knee.

We have to be brave.I watched brissy in their last two games and they had boundary disease.A guy would mark at CHB;hed look up ,then turn and kick sideways to somebody right on the boundary. Not game to take it on just give the responsibility to someone else.It happened over and over and over and...i felt like jumping through the Tv and shake somebody, all the while screaming;"you cant win a game playing like this"!!!!!!
If;and i say if we get in front we must not pack the backline and try to hang on like the Richmond game.Attack, attack!INdividually we are so far ahead of them its scary. But we must be willing to grind coz thats what they bring, its all theyve got.

Yeah it was so frustrating watching them going down the line all the time, hugging the boundary. Inside 50s mean little if they're not quality entries - a lot of 40-50m kicks for goal from near the boundary. Then again they were also missing some sitters.

Sprucing up the place for sale / final inspection?

I might be against the majority here, but think Nelson has done a great job in defence as a tagger in recent times (bar the odd mistake e.g. taking on too many tacklers -man needs to his limitations) and would give him first crack on Ablett, which frees up hutch to tag Kelly. Shep to dahlhouse, redden to danger, won’t stop him but may nullify, then Shuey and Yeo to attack attack attack
remembering that the opposition have plans for Yeo and Shuey, of course.

Wow, I'm an old man and I don't fall off ladders when cleaning the gutters?
But I might fall off the sofa when I'm drunk and excited watching footy!

This has all the hallmarks of a HT mailman post

You can't tag Danger. He is too good. What you can do is to make sure others around him don't lift. He is in career best form right now, he was BOG against Pies. He was also BOG last 4 games of the season. What you can do is limit TK or Stewart( He is important to them) then Danger is irrelevant. No one in Eagles team ( or any other team in AFL) can slow him down. If Danger has 3-4 other players up and running, then we are in trouble. Noticeably, Hawkings, Kelly and selwood to be specific. They will come and come hard, if we can take their best punch I think we should still have enough class and recent form( also form at the G) to win comfortably.
I would like to see NicNat tag Dungoffield - pull out that Parfitt rag doll tackle in the first quarter and sit back to read the tweets once Dungoffield has his name with a red out against it on the App.

Obviously Nic will be able to judge his weight proportional to his opponent to ensure sensible duty of care.

I was going to post this in the elimination final thread, but decided to post it here on the basis that it underlines the massive jump in quality of opponent that we will be facing this week.

Essendon were truly, truly shocking last week. Their lack of effort, skill and toughness just goes on and on in this vid. Looking back, it really was a less than ideal tune up for a do or die away final against the No.1 finisher.
