People really do seem to forget that two of our best wins last year was in front of no crowd.

Of course I'd rather be there but I'd take playing at Kardinia with no crowd any day of the week over playing this in another state with a 500-1000 crowd.
IMO Adelaide Oval would probably get 5,000-10,000 there for 2nd vs 3rd clash on a Friday night, and TV wise, would be ten times better to watch than no crowd at all at Kardinia Park.

Nope. Tasmania doesn't have electricity so no lights.
We also don't have a heap of idiot anti vaxers and anti lockdown fools gathering in numbers during a covid break out. I'm looking at you Melbourne.
So we can still go out, socialise, go to the pub and watch footy like normal human beings. 😉👍

Possibly in Adelaide or Perth but anywhere else it would be somewhere between 250-2000.

Bottom line is that we are 2-3 for performing in games with no crowds. It's not the end of the world.

90%+ home crowd is an advantage and to null that is a big plus for us given the circumstances.

From 1980-1999 we played Geelong 14 times at Kardinia Park in the Reserves in front of next to no crowd and won 9 times (65% win rate). In that same period our Seniors played at Kardinia Park 15 times and won 4 times (27% win rate).

This is a huge advantage to us.

The constant booing of cats supporters when things don't remotely go their way is an 11 goal umpiring advantage for them and the sole reason for their historical success. Without this outrageous advantage they'd be considered St.Kilda's country bumpkin cousins.

Totally agree. Since 2000 Geelong's win rate at KP in the AFL is 81%, while in the VFL in front of no or next to no crowds Geelong's win rate at KP is 59%.

If I brought insight to a thread it was totally by accident.

I won't do it again.
