Surely we cant drop Josh Smith after a game in conditions like that.

The kid never stopped trying and needs another chance with some decent delivery.
Exactly give the kid ago. He tryed hard all night. Please don't drop him laidley.

We need some zip around the ground.I think we can bring in the likes of Hansen, riggio and see how they go.I hate bagging north boys but ats the go with power he has to go.

Please excuse my ignorance , but why isn't McMahon playing seniors?

Pretty sure he got a week for bopping McConnell for not being the find of 2007.

Aside from that, I'd be checking his sideburns.

My mail is Scotty has been given a real rev up so as to be "longer lasting" when it counts.

Agree entirely, time for a shakeup and change of direction. More attack & run - we have pace and flexibility to burn, it's time to use it.

In: Gibson, Jess Smith, Urquart, Hansen
Out: Brown, Watt, S Thompson, Josh Smith

Emerg: McMahon, Josh Smith, Sinclair, Swallow, S Thompson

For me, keep Josh Smith and leave Hansen out.

From all reports Josh Smith has been playing well in the 2's, give him a shot in different conditions. He's AFL ready, so let's see it imo.

Yeah that seems to be the good mail. In all honesty I can see why. The guy is a classy, natural footballer who doesn't get a lot of it but can use it well. Certainly very promising raw material if we can turn him into a player that can run out 80%+ of a game.

That is the kind of guy you want as a depth player as your 16-22nd man in the squad.

If Urquhart plays well against Tasmania I'd bring him straight in with Smith, Ross and Gibson

Out would go Brown, Josh Smith, Power and S.Thompson. Probably a bit harsh on Power but while he's not doing a lot wrong, he's not doing a lot right either, and if these guys are continually pushing up, they need to be played ahead of players who aren't making too many errors but certainly aren't adding much either.

B-Pratt, Petrie, Gibson
HB-Lower, Watt, Firrito
C-Harris, Simpson, Smith
HF-Wells, Hale, Campbell
F-Jones, N.Thompson, Thomas
R-McIntosh, Rawlings, Harvey
INT-Urquhart, Ross, Grant, Harding

Agree with Urquhart.
Key next week is to restore confidence and play with our hardness. Sure Laidley will reignite the flame and the week off is perfectly timed.

Whats it going to be?

Time for Brown to stay put in the 2's
I'm going to tell you something now Bren. Hale and Watt should be dropped before Brown.

He had a ordinary game on the weekend however he came back from a broken hand in a week. I just wonder if he was 100%. Maybe we should drop Doctor Con and Bring back the Silver Fox.

Not on top form after season break. Has shown a bit in the 2s; was probably pushing for selection but has been hurt by a week's suspension and then the bye. Chance to show something this week against Port, and would be a chance for a recall next week I reckon.

Will do what I can to get to 'Bartercard oval' (WTF) to cheer him on, I reckon we need him back

(just how bad is it to abandon your kids at basketball for the afternoon?)

In : Gibbson, Hansen
Out : Brown (We haven't found a spot for him yet), Power (He was stop gap, until we had a full side, now either Pratt, Spud or Gibo can have run in the middle).

I know, Ross, Urquhart, Greenwood could come in however, Hansen must be almost ready.

Thanks for the update:thumbsu:

McMahon was set to play against Adelaide until the suspension. He got a bit of a roast for that!

Dean is not happy with some undisciplined acts. The boys need to be harder at the footy and the tackle and forget going the man when he doesn't have the pill, or the late hits.

Josh Smith asked to play for North Ballarat this week and going by selections, his wish was granted.

Expect Josh to keep his place in the side. Add Jesse Smith and Josh Gibson if they pull up OK. Add McMahon, and then the possibilities come from whoever puts their hand up this week. I would expect some good performances for both Werribee and North Ballarat!

Possible players to go out of the side?
Brown, Harris, Hale, Power, Watt seem the most likely.

What boggles me is that Brown was told during last year's finals that his chances of ever getting another game were slim.
Seven weeks into the following season we are rushing him back into the side after one week off?
What happened in between?

Injuries to JWS and Azza exposed our lack of depth. Adding to this problem is the poor form of McIntosh and Hale. Good to see some young guys being blooded, but I'm sure they were down the pecking order of the next ones to step up. (ie McMahon should be next - but for poor form)

JYD had his hand forced.

Ideal

Out: Brown, Power, S. Thompson, Hale (can afford 1 ruck v WC, Hamish v Cox 80% of the game it'll be)

In: Smith, Sinclair, Gibson, Urquhart

What will happen

Out: Josh Smith, S.Thompson, Lower

In: Jesse Smith, Gibson, Sinclair

I have it on very good authority that Sinclair is on his last chance with North. Laidley and Jess apparently dont get on, and Jess has been seen out a few nightclubs the past few weeks.

Laidley is apparently a big fan of Gavin Urquart and may use him to fill Jess' position. Look for Urquart to make his debut vs the Eagles. Ben Ross is also a very good chance of being selected, he has been playing well in the VFL and Laidley loves him.

Well Brown has that never say die spirit that typifies all true North Melbourne people.:thumbsu:
