My god! I forgot the Grant/Hudson debacle. That was the winning goal served up on a platter and they totally f&$@ed it up. Hudson should have shepherded Grant and been a voice instead of bloody fighting him for it.
That stuff up cost us a flag.
Forget about every other storied incident (Libba, M West, Cook getting hit by the apple...) the whole game came down to that moment in an open goal.
Fu@@k!!!!!’
Incorrect. A chance at a flag!

Looks like a fine day with a breeze with 15 to 25 klms. Hopefully Tim can be like an extra midfield against Mummy. Glad it is not wet as that would have favoured Mummy.

Weather at Plastics Stadium is a bit different to what the Sydney forecast usually is, at lot of the showers and wind stays along the coast and doesn't get that far in land so hopefully the winds will be a little lighter

The whispers around the watercooler,
Are getting louder making quite a din,
Bevo has got out the magic marker,
And it's Billy Gowers back in,
Who is out I hear you cry,
I am sure Bevo has put much thought in,
The name on every bodies lips,
Well it's bloody Aaron Naughton.
Don’t even joke about Billy Gowers coming in mate. We want to win!

Why are we bringing in Trenners and taking out a small? Needs to be like for like as we have obviously for the formula right as of recent. If Trenners comes in it's for Lewy Young.

Its really interesting at selection this week. Two things that I can't get out of my head:

1. Lewis Young is probably a better match-up for the Giant's forwards than Cordy or Trengove.

2. West was soooo sharp against Adelaide for a second game.

The question then becomes whether the coaches think we need more ammo in the ruck and backline (Trengove) or forward/mid West.

I think there's no doubt that Dickson will come in. If it's a position for position change then West goes out.

Hayes in the team is a bridge too far for me. He's just not clean enough when the heat is on and this pressure will be doubled in the finals. I think Richards has clicked in the last few weeks and can't see him being dropped.

The other issue that keeps coming to mind is Naughton v Davis. I reckon Davis beat Naughton for most of the last game and was simply undone by weight of numbers in the end. For this reason I think its vital that Schache stays deep and gives Naughton a chop out. The only way to achieve this IMO is for Trengove to provide some ruck relief so Schache doesn't need to go into the ruck.

So, my finall call is:

Out: Hayes, West
In: Trengove, Dickson

B: Wood Cordy Trengove
HB: Dureya Young Crozier
C: Hunter Bontempelli Johanissen
HF: Smith Schache Lloyd
F: Dale Naughton Dickson
FOL: English Dunkley Macrae
INT: Richards Suckling Maclean Lipinski

There's enough run on the field and on the bench, and English will run rings around Mumford. Trengove in gives Cordy the option to take a medium or small forward. Richards, Maclean and Lipinski can all rotate through the midfield and forward line to apply pressure to Williams and Whitfield.

Go Dogs!

We're not big on ''run with' type roles, but I'd love to see Bailey Smith go to Whitfield. I reckon Whitfield is our biggest danger as he is the one who can get the ball in quickly and precisely.

Reckon Whitfield is the type to get irritated by close attention, especially a first year player with swagger who'll take no sh1t , harass and pressure.

Baz could hurt him going the other way too
