Nervous like a man waiting to see if Shane Mumford plays dressed as a lumberjack. I too am nervous
was it the red time goals versus Adelaide or conceding five of the last six goals versus Adelaide or is
it the uneasy feeling that Mumford is going to go out with a BANG.
Don’t read anything in to that. Job was done. We eased off in the end to ensure no injuries etc.. If we had to win by 10 goals, I’m sure we would’ve kept going

I'd probably have Hayes in the team over West due to his tank which could help late in a close final.

Dickson in for West.

Really not sure what they'll do re Trengove.

What is Finlayson's pace / mobility like? Could he play on him?

I think Cameron will kick 4+ regardless of who we put on him - club would be more focused on punishing them the other way.

Good call, Hayes has the biggest tank on our list just about.

I just think we look more stable with Trengove, a big body, down back. Gives us back up if Timmy gets hurt as well, who knows what Mumford might do to try and slow him down.

You called fleabag?

Edit. I will always be respectful of someone else's board but you tag me in you tag me in.

Oh for anyone wanting to go to the game there were a ton of cheap seats just released in the Dogs supporters area behind the goals under the video screen.

You cannot drop Young whether or not Trengrove plays. The kid needs a big final for his development. And should he play well and we win our chances of winning another final increase incrementally.
The story of the 2019 is the development of players as the season has progressed: dunkley, dale, lipinski and of course naughton. For the momentum or call it the dream to continue what is required is Young to do step up.

I’m reminded of the 1993 bombers who won an outrageous premiership with the blossoming of young players late in the season.

No way .. the way they are still going on about that 'unsatisfactory MRO outcome would make you think he was out for the year
And he only missed because they were playing GC and they could pretend he was injured. You can bet he would have played if they’d been facing Collingwood or similar.

The forecast is for westerly winds up to 40 klms. I assume this is a cross breeze and will have an effect on the game, maybe it will make it a bit scrappy and more difficult for marking with more ground balls. I think this will suit us.

Mumford will easily account for English in the hit outs, but that’s nothing new for our midfield. I think he can even it out by really exploiting Mumford’s lack of run.

GWS will give this everything they have. For them, if they can’t get up for this final, they won’t get up for anything. Key for us will be maintaining touch with them, like last time, while they’re firing their shots. They were cutting us apart at times in the second and still on top 5 minutes into the third. With Cameron and Finlayson back they’ll be more potent and our defence will have its work really cut out for it. But like last time, if we can absorb their best, we can wear them down.

Despite the last result and going in favourites, there’s not a lot of margin for error for us. There rarely is in finals.

Cannot wait.
