He had played one solid game (Collingwood), one good game (Sydney) and two indifferent games (Fremantle and the North game before he was hit by Ziebell in the last quarter). He's returned to play two terrible games (Geelong and Sydney).

That last quarter against Freo, where we only got something like 5 inside 50's for the entire quarter as Freo overran us, where Cloke needed to stand up, play his role to take contested marks and help drive us forward, was disappointing.

Fair summary BUT Geelong was Trav's first game back after injury which coincided with Dickson coming back also so he really hadn't played much with others in the forward line and as for Sydney well you could say the same about all our players except for one or two. Playing in the forward line vs Sydney on Thursday would have been a nightmare.

Let's just wait and see.

I'm finding it hard to pick anyone in the forward line that has worked apart from a good game here and there.

Our delivery is rubbish, we take too long to get it in there, once its in there it's straight back out again. We haven't exactly laid a great platform for a forward to work with. My Dad is a life long Colliwobbles supporter so I've grown up watching more of Cloke than I would like to admit to, he was worth taking a punt on but he would have been more effective in the 16' team. I hardly recognise our team at the moment.

To mix up the thought processes slightly, the last time Travis kicked a massive haul (might have been 7-0? Something ridiculous anyway) was against Melbourne. And we haven't had to face him since. So if the dogs are keen to roll the dice one last time on him, this is definitely the moment to do it. We pretty much specialise in elevating players like Travis to GOAT levels

I get the rest, but when did this happen?

It didn't. Roughead hadn't played an AFL game all year so we gave him two in the VFL ramping up his minutes. He certainly didn't lose his spot to Cloke as they don't even play the same role. It's just TNP creating storylines in his mind to suit his narrative.

You're not the only team to do that, don't worry haha. We have a thread dedicated to it, named in honour of Majak Daw.

Against Geelong. Roughead had played the 1 game the week before against Richmond in the VFL, and Cloke came straight back in the team without playing any VFL games after recovering from his broken ribs. So not only both were fit, but Roughead actually had a game under his legs and Cloke didn't.

Roughy was out for about 4 extra weeks, and had an incredibly rare injury. No way it's true Cloke took his place.

But Roughy had already played a week in the VFL, and Cloke hadn't, so that cancels out I think.

I like theory and hope you're right, but there's been some classic examples of good average players having a day out against us (Petrie, Carlisle to name a few).

Sadly, our players never return the favour.

We see what you're doing there ;)

Do any of you guys think it was funny Boyd came straight in against Sydney when everyone else didn't.

Even when Morris came straight in he looked underdone against Geelong..
