Talia below Dougall ****ing Howard on that list. He's fallen a long way since his AA years.

We need to be looking for a replacement in the trade/draft period this year, as he only has 1-2 years left tops.

I wonder if he struggles to get his body right. Thought he looked like having a good year but is steadily deteriorating.

JJ had to play, Lynch was a late out and Gibbs for Jones is fine.

I disagree JJ had to play, but it would have definitely meant career over at Adelaide if he didn't (which at this point in time, I'd be happy to never see JJ in an Adelaide jumper again regardless of the incumbents performance). Lynch for Knight I can totally live with as a change as that was a late change, and we did miss a third target in the forward line badly, and Gibbs for Jones feels like a bit of a waste of time seeing how in and out Gibbs has been, and Jones being a kid we should be pumping more games in as I highly doubt we're having a deep finals run this season.

I'd probably be more negative on these selections, but not selecting Mackay despite being apparently available outweighs all of my gripes.

Seems like really balanced selection, big shout out to Elliott Himmelberg for his efforts, no shame in this, unfortunately he needs a chop out for a bit, nothing wrong with that given the combative games we have had to play, I am sure Gibbs has shown something on the track to be given a chance, as for Josh he knows exactly what needs to be done and he has the tools to do it.

Will say it's strange Gibbs was told he needs to work on his game when he was dropped but then proceeds to play 0 SANFL games to prove he has improved

Genuinely a joke.

And what's their policy on Jones? Back him in... for one week.

When the pressure is on, our club will always retreat back to failing senior players and the comfort of a 6th - 12th finish. And we will never do better because of that.

The coaches must really think Gallucci is going to be a good player for us, because he’s had 5 bog-average games in a row now.

Im not a fan of him but if the club wants to give him a run in the middle then fine, hes barely had opportunity there.

That first half against West Coast was promising enough, and you'd expect fade outs/bog average performances at half forward as par for the course. Firmly at the bottom of the chain supply wise, and would be a position that would be primarily about just playing to a structure and making the most of the scant opportunities you would get. Something Gallucci usually does well (but like all kids has the occasional horror moment that experience will inevitably clean up).

Equally in saying that, it's also not hard to see why we're thinking there is a bright future here. Good amount of strength there, very quick, good defensively (usually) good short kick (usually) would translate to a midfield role well when he does inevitably make the switch (and I'm guessing we're not far from pulling that trigger either). Tools are definitely there for it.

If we were going for conservative selection then David Mackay would have been in as well if he has recovered fully probably at the expense of Jordan Gallicci.

Don’t hate the changes.

M.Crouch in for Kelly next week.
Atkins on notice, Jones/McHenry/DMac in.
Fogarty in for Tex if he spuds it up again.
Assuming DMac or Knight would be travelling emergency.

SANFL should be good to watch at least. Jones, McHenry, Stengle, Fogarty, McAdam, Hamill, Sholl, Butts, Poholke, Himmelburg, Davis all playing.
Sauce, Douglas, Wilson probably going to dominate.

More likely he didn't recover from flu in time ..my guess

Ive been knocked out for 4+ weeks with the flu. It wouldnt surprise me that this is the reason he still out.

Will be interesting if he plays SANFL. Is it on this weekend?

Will be good when Mrouch is back and then we might look at replacing Murphy with Stengle. I just want to see what Stengle has in him. MCHenry is another that needs to be considered. Surprised and Happy that MacKay wasnt just rushed back in.

Hberg has had a good block of games.go back and dominate the Snaffle.
Would have thought Knight out instead of Jones if Gibbs was a wanted in.
Lynch had to come in. Was in great form hope he keeps it.

Lynch plays last week we win.
