All I was trying to say was that the average fan could walk into any opposition camp and struggle to recognise more than 5 or so players, but maybe that is just me... Its quite funny how fans know what their first year rookie player had for breakfast but can't recognise a performing best 22 player from the opposition team (like me with Dickson)
Nah. I can name and recognise pretty much every performing best 22 player on most team's list. Just you guys have so many generic, mids/flankers of about the same size that I'm starting to think there's a cloning machine at Arden st.

Are we really going in with Redpath in the ruck? Surely Toyd will be a late in.

Also no Hrovat? Could he be on the trade table at season's end?

Roughy played mostly 1st ruck in the VFL last week and will be starting ruck Saturday.

We have a mix of player types like everyone else, not easier or harder to distinguish than other teams if you bother to look into it. Just say you do not care about North, I can live with that

For the people who think Cordys too small, do you feel the same about Hamling? they're both the same height but have those long lanky arms that just manage to spoil everything. Love that highlights package of him on the dogs site, he loves to take the game on. He really is perfect for our set up and honestly I don't think bev really gives a shit even if he has to play a Hamling or Cordy type on a Hawkins type, obviously they'll get thrown aside in a one on one but we don't want one on ones. All they have to do is body them and let Wood and Boyd, and in future Rourke and Webb as well, come in from the side. Then hurt them going the other way and both Hamling and Cordy can do that. I think our best defensive trio looking forward is Roberts, Hamling and Cordy.

My best friend is a North supporter. I've seen you live 6 times this year.

Grant's nose doesn't sound good. Which emergency would come in?

An emergency nose? He could breathe through his mouth. Or use one of these

Though I think it would be a dangerous selection to bring in a new nose for Jarryd at this stage. He's had the same nose for about 25 years and it forms a cohesive unit with his mouth, eyes and ears. It might upset the delicate balance of his face. He might blow up late in the game.

Though given this crazy season, who nose? A new schnozz for Jarryd might be just the thing he needs.

Hey Norm, I see you have the same avatar as that tosser Australian Idle used to have. Did you nick it?

Yes and if the thread derailing imbecile doesn't like it I'll fight him for it.

Zaine isn't small

An emergency nose. Snot a bad idea.

After watching the Eagles play last week & our boys all season, I'm firmly convinced that strong, organized, fast rebounding defensive unit shits all over tall loose slow defensive unit.

Some alternate players to consider to present Zaine's jumper.

Alex Gardiner
He would be 80 if still alive. His father played for Footscray in the 1920's and Alex played 92 games for Footscray between 1955 and 1962 including the 1961 grand final when he played on the wing. He later played as centreman for Box Hill, scored 61 goals and was selected on the wing in their "Greatest Ever Team" and named as captain.

Greg Eppelstun
Played 102 games for Footscray from 1986 to 1992 mainly as a reliable defender and represented Victoria in state of origin football. He was strangely dropped half way through 1992 to the reserves after playing a good game. In 1993 he played one game for North, then suffered injury and was replaced by Glenn Archer. Injury cut his career short and played no more AFL games.

For the you know...um...the longterm?
Well wouldn't it benefit him long term if he was in the side and gain valuable experience before we are on a finals campaign? .. Isn't that what this season is for ?...

So you know most players from all teams but can't distinguish North players after seeing us 6 times live? A little hard to believe. But anyway, I show myself out. Hoping for a cracking game.
