To the biggest online Geelong community on earth,

A two-point win over Hawthorn. Some unusual defeats. Another two-point win over Hawthorn. A stack of debutants. Some good form over top four sides late in the piece. A shock elimination final exit. Weekends free in September. Goodbye to a legend. The Kittens win a flag against the odds.

Certainly this year has kept us on our toes as Geelong supporters. Although we couldn't achieve the ultimate yet again, I'm sure we can agree that this season the Geelong Football Club took another step forward into being one of the strongest sporting clubs in the country.

As an online community, you help make following the Cats even better. What makes this board so great is the vast array of contributors across the board. So to our controversial thread starters, grizzly veteran debaters, logical thinkers, conversation contributers, walking libraries, preview writers, football analysts, draft specialists, news breakers, VFL reporters, meet-up organisers, YouTube video producers and overseas ambassadors, both personally and on behalf of the moderators: thank you. And to the many who love to read but are still yet to register or post: we would love to have you on board for 2013.

I hope that all your activities for the holiday and new year are full of health and happiness and look forward to gearing up again for another season next year.

Go Cats!

Hear, hear! I spend most of my BF time on either the Geelong or AFL boards. The AFL board is like travelling overseas; you come up against all different types. Thanks to the shared passion of Geelong supporters, and equally, the sterling job done by our Mods,it is always nice to "come home" to the Geelong board.

Happy Xmas, and Go Cats.

I hope everyone and their loved ones have a great Christmas (or whatever it is you'll be celebrating this festive season) and have safe and happy new year.

P.S. lets bring the cup back to Geelong next year! :D

Love your work SJ, Winty, POds lover, and Turbocat, but we might be a bit premature with the heading.
2012 is near the end.
As I've said before, my brother has introduced me to this board, and now I have a fair addiction.
Looking forward to 2013 with a smattering of optimism.
Crazy that I make a living from injuries, yet that's what I curse most when it comes to Geelong.

Whoops.

Plenty of very informative posters on this board, and is the best place I know to keep up to date with what's happening at the club. Stay safe and bring on 2013. :thumbsu:

I would like to say a big thank-you to all of my fellow Geelong big footy members for a great year on this site. Although I don't post too often, checking Big footy has become a daily ritual and my favourite way to keep up to date with the happenings of the GFC.

Merry Christmas to you all and Go Cats :thumbsu:

You forgot to include those who troll the HFC. They've given me as much joy especially this October and off season. :D

Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all, if we survive the Mayan doom.

Thanks mods another fine year from you all :thumbsu:

Thank you to those who educate and entertain me and also to those who utterly horrify me, you're all a bit special. Oh and and thankyou Swannies for taking a disappointing year and covering it with chocolate sprinkles and rainbows.

Great opening post, SJ.

Thank you Mods, Pods & peers for once again making this, along with the Footy Almanac, the most generous & warming online footy community. Thank you GFC for an outstanding year, setting up the inevitable domination of the Greatest Team of All in 2013 (and subsequent years to come).

I shall roam no more. My heart was, is, and shall always be tied to Geelong.

May your god of choice grant you all a Merry Xmas, a Happy Hanukah (sp?), or a Wonderful Festival of the Infidels.

I have enjoyed immensely my short time here, and for that I thank THE CLUB and the moderators, and all the posters - even those who have fallen into egregious error by disagreeing with me.:)

I wish everybody as safe and enjoyable a time over the next few weeks as I want for myself and mine.

PS oozeboss you forgot us atheists, we had it first.:D

Festivus for the rest of us. Join me next week for the airing of grievances and Ill tell each of you how you have disappointed me in the following ways....

A huge thankyou to the Moderators and all Cats Posters , so fantastic to have BF as a reference point for this relocated die hard Cat fan.
You get sweet FA about the Cats over here so BF fills that void beautifully both for the Seniors and Reserves , much appreciated.
BF also amuses my kids as they can't believe that their nerdy old man actually posts and follows an on line forum , cause of much amusement in our household.
Enjoy the Festive Season , stay safe and go you Catters !!
