Him, Hird and Reid will be found knocking back a couple of slabs on the footpath outside Windy Hill
I think he went to North Melbourne. Not 100% sure though.Bit of a meh situation for me. I don't mind the guy as long as he'd be able to work effectively under the new structures put in place, but he doesn't strike me as someone with irreplaceable skills either. Him leaving won't affect the club much (unless we can't find a replacement) as we don't really have his position filled due to his suspension.
Didn't Collingwood's football boss quit early this year, does anyone think we'd make a play for him?

It's hard to say from the outside looking in, but i would be pretty damn concerned about the morale of the players if Hird gets outed. They got told to hang tight together through an absolute s**t storm because they were given information suggesting that Hird was not responsible for any crime and it was all a media/AFL public relations fiasco. After all that, you want to start allocating blame and administering in house penalties? If i was a player on the list i would pretty much throw my hands in the air and ask well who's next? Next thing i would do is look at trade options to a club that stood by it's word.I only wish what is best for the club.
What is best, or what you think is best?
Can't believe you'd make Doc Reid stand in the cold and wait for a taxi. He's not young any more!![]()

“I took the General Manager of Football role to implement a succession plan and knowing in time I would help the Club find the right person to succeed me,” Corcoran said.
Essendon Football Club wishes to advise that General Manager Football Operations Paul Hamilton has informed the Club he would like to explore other career opportunities.
Hamilton, who has been in his role with the Bombers since 2008, will remain at the Club until the end of the year in a Player Contracting and Assurance Role.
Essendon CEO Ian Robson said he was pleased Hamilton would complete the year to ensure a smooth transition for both parties.
“It is disappointing that Paul will be leaving us but we appreciate that he has made a decision to further develop his career and explore other opportunities,” Robson said
“We are pleased Paul has agreed to stay with the Club for the upcoming free agency, trade and draft periods to oversee important TPP and player contract matters.”
“In his time at Essendon, Paul has played an integral role in building the playing list and overseeing many important changes to the club’s football program and operations. He has been able to apply both football and commercial nous to his role.”
“I wish to thank Paul for his professionalism and the outstanding contribution he has made to the Club.”
Hamilton said the time is right to move on at the end of the year.
“I’ve been considering my future for some time and have made what I think is the right decision for me,” Hamilton said.
“I have a long standing relationship with the Essendon Football Club, including as a player, and have made many lifetime friends.”
“It’s been enjoyable working with the players, coaches and staff in recent years and I wish James Hird, Jobe Watson and the entire Club every success in the future.”
Essendon CEO Ian Robson confirmed People and Development Manager Danny Corcoran has been appointed the new General Manager of Football Operations.
“Danny brings a wealth of experience to the role and is looking forward to taking on this exciting challenge,” Robson said.
“I am certain he will play a significant part in contributing to the success that all of us are committed to delivering to our supporter base in the coming years.”

Yeah, that's a good idea. But he's got too much baggage IMO
Why?
If i sound facetious i'm not. What do you think he has done to warrant not wanting him back?
Yeah lets get rid of Essendon stars because they've got too much baggage from AFL persecution. Jobe can go after Hird.Yeah, that's a good idea. But he's got too much baggage IMO
Really?
I think we need a poll thread. A big BF Bomber board poll that finds out how many people/fans want Hird back next year..at the end of the year.
Maybe the appointment of Bomber has turned people off Hird?
Has the tide turned?

I started a poll last week and Hirdismyhero closed it down.
HERE
I honestly want Hird back just not as coach as I would rather Bomber coach us for the next 3 to 5 years.
