Why is this game on so early? Wouldn't have thought 1.10pm Sunday was a great time slot for two teams that share a public holiday Monday each year.

Quite the opposite actually, it allows people from Geelong plenty of time to get back in time for dinner. I'm guessing there are probably more frequent train services for fans heading home too. There'll be a good 6-7k more supporters in attendance than a 3:20 game
