She'll be right...we're doctors! What could possibly go wrong
We’re in a pretty good state. 1 in 250 who have had it have died. Much less than almost every where else. Also the curve is almost at the flat point now. If we keep it under control we’ll get through it fairly quickly. I assume we’ll go into stage 4 but that’s not for sure. I’m thinking for 2-4 weeks we could be closing down for until businesses gradually open up again. 2 months of shutdown seems over the top let alone 6 months. Doesn’t look like we’ll be hit half as bad as thought
I agree but naturally need to the discussed in worse case otherwise people will be even less willing to heed measures. Just need everyone to go the right thing for the time being and we’ll pull through this
So far, of the 756 positive tests only 4 have required acute ICU care , that’s 0.4% . Should positive tests reach 80,000 in Victoria , we ll run out of ICU however I see the trend curve is beginning to turn in our favour . Hopefully footy back in JuneWe’re in a pretty good state. 1 in 250 who have had it have died. Much less than almost every where else. Also the curve is almost at the flat point now. It worries me the only clubs that could survive without AFL funding are Richmond, Hawthorn, Collinwood and West Coast.
Reports of 600 million credit line with assets of RFC used as guarantee is also deeply concerning.
I feel the club is trapped and cannot grow due to socialist over reach.
The level of employees at AFL HQ compared to English premier league HQ is staggering
combine the FA and the EPL staffing to compare to the AFL (as it does both their functions)
running a game takes a lot more manpower than running one comp
It would be illegal to do so under the current social isolation rules...I have said it before, I will say it again RFC is getting hurt at the moment along with the players by not playing at the moment against someone like Collingwood even if it was a separate series outside the home and away

If RFC has a revenue problem the best way to fix that is play games even if unsanctioned
Does this centralised approach inhibit growth by consolidating power and reducing innovation and alternative perspectives reflective of the broader community?

Why would a group of 44 footballers playing a lenghty physical game of football be exempt from 'Social Isolating' rules that the General Public have to obey or risk being fined/jailed?!?Why would they not be exempt?

Where is there a separate quarantined environment for Joe Public that's suitable for a lengthy physical football match between 44 players?!?because they are operating in a separate quarantined environment.
This is where Gil got it wrong, the footy set-up is a club orientation separate from the broader community with club like protocols and governance to protect them.
NRL looking to play in June now. How are they going to do that with the general rules??

How are 44 footballers going to get permission to play a lenghty physical competitive footy match and from whom?!!?joe public is not part of the AFL club set-up(separate to club membership) so has to watch from home like the first round.
Unlike AFL, government allow a lot of riff raft into society so to curtail this in risky scenarios they bring in draconian measures to control those that are more arguably more uncontrollable like those that will not self isolate when coming back into the country and so now forced into hotels. AFL have more control over their AFL club set-up especially since they have incentives like paying the player and other support staff wages

Where are these 44 footballers going to play?!?Who do they have to get permission from??
They are AFL FOOTBALLERS, not run of the mill public community.
Who is the stopper??
The community social construct argument does not apply to them especially when arguably the peoples will through the market provides them higher safety measures via revenue streams!
For example in terms of business models the revenue from fox to Richmond and Collingwood from the game being broadcast allows the provision of enhanced virus protection protocols and procedures to the players and support staff.
So for example players and support stay get paid to play and if one or two breach measures in place they do not get paid to play and get penalties. The incentive mechanism is quite simple. This is different from an organised community protest where protest organisers have difficulty raising protest revenue to fund and control protest participants
because they are operating in a separate quarantined environment and are therefore exempt like freight trucks going across interstate
This is where Gil got it wrong and use community links as an excuse. The footy set-up is a club orientation separate from the broader community with club like protocols and governance to protect them where the membership of the group affords them exclusive protection and safety opportunities not provided to the public as a result of their membership of the group

Won't happen...where ever, punt road, Victoria park, craigeburn, the black stump.
Broadcasters just have to set up
Won't happen...
Thank our lucky stars if there's even a modified 2021 Season...
Just as we (RFC) got back to our rightful place in the AFL hierachy we get pole axed by CV...it's all over baby blue...what ever will be...will be...
