My gut feel is that we won't be trading Lobbe and that we will be playing a Dixon/Ryder forward combination next year.

If we do that, I'll see you all in 2018. By which time we'll have a new coach.

O'meara anyone?? Injury concerns but looked like he could become the best player in the league at one stage. Does he love Ken from his younger days??

Don't think GC will want picks, they have plenty, they'll need players. Westhoff, Broadbent, Lobbe, Hartlett?
I would throw the dice - Omeara still very young

I think that is too much to ask anyone to put their balls on the line like that. The cost would be massive and the risk high but the reward high too. If his knee is completely shot he will be a 95% chance to go Richmond. If he's 100% healed and will win the Brownlow in 2019 he'll go to Hawthorn for a 2nd Round pick.

Omeara could still become a great player. Gold Coast would want ALOT. I'm in if he passes a medical. Gold Coast don't have the funds to rehab players. That's why they are broken.

Out of everyone that has been mentioned, I'd like Daw the most.

Is a capable forward to help Dixon, and is better than Lobbe in the ruck as well.

But it looks like the Kangas are finally going to give some of their fringe players a go next year, so wouldn't be surprised if he stayed.

Steele and Stewart would be an awesome package from GWS - surely they won't have the cap room for all these players.
Yes please.

Back???

He's from WA.
Ah sorry, but apparently the girlfriend is a Melbourne girl and has been telling everyone that's where he'll be.
Interesting though to see which clubs are prepared to take a risk given his injury history. GC may not get as much as they hoped for him.

His girlfriend doesn't have a say in the matter. "It doesn't count if you're not married honey. Or you get your name in the paper as 'and one' :D

He's contracted, and the Suns will play hardball after spending all this time getting his body right. I can guarantee you, if we came in and waved a one year, million dollar contract in front of his face using the money we saved on Ryder and Monfries this year (plus the money from Schulz going and maybe Hartlett traded to the Suns), it would be 'Have fun in Melbourne, baby...I'm heading to Adelaide'.

If it's true love, she'll follow him anywhere and know that his career is finite especially with his injury history. If she doesn't...there's always another fish.

Why are Gold Coast saying he will go to the draft if a suitable trade cannot be found? Which will never happen because then Essendon will pick him up for free. He'll get to wherever he wants to go.

My mistake - he's not contracted.

If the go to plan is delist butcher to and play lobbe ryder ruck forward combo we are stuffed big time!
Much prefer a trengove ryder ruck butch dix forward

Question marks still surround both Lobbe and Ryder and whether they can get back to form, and while the club is likely to try the combination I'm pretty confident they won't put all of their eggs into that basket.

IMO, not renewing Schultz is the strongest indication we have had yet that the club is going after a KPF through free agency.

The only question is who is it.

After this weekend, we'll only have 4 players yet to debut - Frampton, Johnson, Houston and Hewett. I don't think it's ever been that low.

And yet we were only just short of playing finals. #brightside

#downside is, the reason it's so low is more because we've got 100 list cloggers who have been in and out of the side for years rather than fresh talent.

Last chance to impress really.
Make no mistakes, the broom is about to come through this playing group.
Can't wait!

one game wont save anyone plus I fear the broom will be lacking some fibre
