Longmire unless he goes to NorthFor those saying Bolton should go, who would replace him?
Id be looking at Caracella, Schofield or RattenFor those saying Bolton should go, who would replace him?
Simpson isnt “safe”Assessing the coaches:
* Pyke won't get sacked before the end of the year, but if he fails to make the 8 I could possibly see him being moved on. Adelaide don't seem a particularly patient club and their list pretty much has to strike now.
* Fagan is safe, there's a lot of good feeling around Brisbane now and so much of that is because of him. He's done a great job.
* Bolton is probably fine so as long as there's genuine improvement on 2018 and signs that the plan is taking hold. He's in trouble if he has another terrible season though.
* Buckley is safe after 2018
* Worsford seems in real trouble to me. If anyone gets sacked mid-season, I think it'll be him. Essendon are designed to strike now and the way they played on the weekend does not seem to me like they're buying into his strategy.
* Lyon we'll wait and see. If last week is the new norm, he's safe. If they regress to 2016-18 form, I can see him being moved on at the end of the season.
* Chris Scott is probably safe unless Geelong significantly collapse. Which doesn't seem too likely for this season at least.
* Dew has no expectations so he's fine for 2019. We'll see what happens in 2020 I guess.
* Cameron could be vulnerable if they miss the 8, but as long as they make it he is safe.
* Clarkson has the Hawthorn job for as long as he wants it
* Goodwin can probably afford a down year, but if Melbourne miss the 8 the pressure will be on in 2020.
* Brad Scott is in more trouble if their Round 1 performance is the new norm. He's been there for a long time and hasn't made the Grand Final in that 10 years. I don't see North Melbourne moving him on that quickly, but if things are looking dire mid-season the pressure could rise hard.
* Hinkley is similar to Lyon. Though having an extra year under contract compared to Lyon (and Port being poorer than Freo) buys him a bit more time. I also feel like Port are a better team than Freo, though we'll wait and see there.
* Hardwick is safe
* Richardson is basically dead man walking. The game against the Suns suggests he's learned nothing (unlike Lyon/Hinkley) and while injuries probably drags down his expectations, in practice he's off-contract at the end of the season. If they beat Essendon though it buys him some time.
* Longmire is an interesting one. I don't see him being sacked this season, but I wouldn't be too surprised if at the end of the season if Sydney has a poor one he says 'yeah I've had enough' and resigns.
* Simpson is safe
* Beveridge can still dine out on 2016 for as long as his list remains raw, but would probably want to see some improvement soon-ish.

Agree with these 3 . I would love to see Caracella at the CrowsId be looking at Caracella, Schofield or Ratten

Goodwin will be fine. If we miss the 8 we will be under pressure running into 2020 but he won’t get sacked. Worsfold probably under more heat than Goodwin but they aren’t looking bad the last two games Essendon.Still think worsfold needs a good win against the roos. But has turned the tide and appears to have the players buying in.
That saints game should be a constant reminder all year of what not playing with intent will bring.
Goodwin and pyke will feel the pressure at some point.
Both teams should be competing for top 4
If they arent thereabouts come years end, both will looked at
So let me get this right according to Carlton fans.
They have some of the best defenders in the league, the games best midfielder with a whole host of young gun midfirlders. Curnow who is apparently already a star up forward and another young superstar forward in Curnow.
Bolton is ******, only because of the ridiculously over rating of their list
They’re every chance...If Adelaide lose at home to Gold Coast next week, Pyke would be in deep doo doo
If Carlton have another god awful year then SOS has to go. There’s no way he can stay. Bolton has to get a win next week to keep himself somewhat out of the gun. The WB are just as desperate. If the WB can’t beat Carlton then Beveridge has to be in some sort of trouble also.Fair call. SOS should get the boot as well.

They think just getting high draft picks in will solve the issues. The Blues issues over the past decade have been about player development. They players they draft don't really kick on as they should. It just goes to show development is as important, if not MORE important, than high draft picks themselves.
It’s as if Bolton has lost the players. So let me get this right according to Carlton fans.

Carlton keep picking duds like Casboult, Jones, Gibbons, McKay. SPS isn’t doing much for a top 10 pick, Simpson and Murphy are slow and close to done, and if you tag out Cripps or hassle him enough there’s really no one else to worry about.I have nothing against Bolton and at times Carlton appear okay, but they can’t win games. How long do you give someone at the helm even with a young side? What’s the difference between Carlton and other teams like brisbane and Gold Coast?
Well they’re obviously not horrendous. They seem to be doing enough right now to close out the tight ones. Adelaide on the road would be like a GF for them next week, nothing like pressure on to see if they can deliver under those conditions. The fact GC are 3-1 with a rabble of a list spells trouble for Bolton
It would be very close to being Pyke at this stage
Longmire also in the gun if Swans keep up their poor form
I nominate SOS. Let him reap what he's sowed! For those saying Bolton should go, who would replace him?
At least his dud son would get a game.I nominate SOS. Let him reap what he's sowed!
